I think your phone is connected under 3G/H which i think is not the strongest signal you have there...maybe you can switch to GSM only (ya i know, it slow way bad), but i think you'll get full bar of coverage

i followed the guide on the readme file which comes together with the radio.img. (which downloaded from mike's page)
the guide is as follows:

What do you need?

- S-Off Bootloader ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841076
- RADIO S-OFF ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857537
- The Android SDK (http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html)
- Your device is plugged in & fully charged

1) Put radio.img into your android sdk "tools" folder

2) Boot into bootloader mode - hold volume down & press power and select "fastboot" from the menu

3) Open a cmd prompt on your pc

4) cd to sdk/tools folder

5) type: fastboot flash radio radio.img

6) type: fastboot reboot

in Front Page under TOOLS, there is one tool that can flash RADIO, RECOVERY easily...AMT 1.4, which that no need for you to use command prompt, just click and it will be done in seconds

About the coverage thing, not all place is good in 3G/H reception which is why yours is always low bar on signal...GSM everywhere got one

Yes, you still use mobile internet but your connection stuck at G(GPRS) & EDGE only which is a tad slower than 3G & H...well, can use 3G & H mode but gotta get use with low signal coverage

ok ..i found the RIL for the recomended radio for ARHD 5.1.4...flashing it now ..hope that it saves my battery also ..

Monza, ive changed to GSM mode already..now i have full bar on coverage.. constantly on edge now for mobile internet..but luckily its not too slow..still able to reply this thread with my dhd..thanks for your advice.

Anyway..will this setting saves more battery?

Ya, 2G connection (G & EDGE) saves more battery compared to 3G connection (3G & H)...

Which bring us to another reason, it won't go crazily searching for signal which do consumed a bit of juice

then i will set it to GSM only when i am not using the internet.
and set to WCDMA & GSM when i need to use fast internet ...
anyway is there any widget that enables me to toggle between that two options ?

Ya, sometimes cannot send one ..i reverted back to ViVo ..1.5.6 is still BETA, so lots of bugs to be expected ...already mentioned all the related bugs to the dev

Ive replace my screen+digitizer yesterday at pertama complex,
and the price is Rm260 with a month warranty.
Have done some research and most vendor in lowyat and pertama complex offered me from the range of Rm 350, Rm 455, RM 500 and claim all are original part BUT only give me warranty of 2 weeks only.
I didnt go SIS because my phoe is an AP Set and at this thread V8 (if i'm not mistaken) SIS quote one of the forumer RM 450 for the screen and RM 100plus for service which add up to about RM 600.
Call me cheapskate or whatever but I'm stisfied with my option and I think I'll be upgrading my phone to a newer version in a couple years from now.(quad core anyone - Q4 2011 )

About CoreDroid 6.1, you use MobileData or WiFi to download??

OMG !! RM600 so expensive dude.. mine change 4x.. RM500 (not include service charge) x 4 = RM2000
almost same with new DHD Ori Set

tested on both but still cannot download
I have wipe data + dalvik when installing but the problem persist.
the strange thing is market can download during restore(after install)
but after that if i want to install new or update will always fail.
internet and other apps such as mail and facebook works though
