try deleting your bf2 cache folder?

My documents -> Battlefield 2 -> mods -> bf2 -> cache -> (delete any folder here)

Hi guys i just bought a set of bf2few days ago but i have difficulty playing it though. everything seems smooth and fine in the star up screen and the intro video runs very smoothly and clear as well. but it takes around 20 minutes to load the game. when it enters the game everything started to lag the mouse pointer is so jerky and all. is there something wrong with my graphic card? here's my spec

Pentium 4 3.0
1.5gig of ram
radeon x600PRO
80gb hdd with 35gb free space

whats ur setting anyway..? if u played high/ultra setting then it will lag when playing..

hi guys im new to this game and i do not know how to connect to a smooth malaysian only game/server. are here even any malaysian or neaby countries only servers? everygame i connect to will lag like crazy btw my ping is at 300+

well, AFAIK, Malaysian don't have Battlefield 2's server, Battlefield 2142, yes got..., anyway...you can always play at Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Australia server which is in good ping range, from as low as 20ms to 200ms, with average 100~150 at Australian server (), , nowadays quite hard to find Malaysian player, but if you see me, i'm sniper69aka101...yours?

thanks. i dont see any australia server there maybe it's because im using a different vrsion. will try again when i'm done patching.

aiyoo, you beat me to it.

Apparently, the mod makes bf2 feels more realistic. For example, tanks need to be entered from on top, just like real life. When tanks get hit in its tracks, it will disable it and you can't move. Vehicles have to stop for you to get off or you'll die, troops disembark from the rear of the APC, and many, many more.

I haven't tried it myself but from what i've seen in the trailer, looks pretty good.

, i found weird...everytime i hit Printscreen (screenshot) it'll screw up my graphic, all artifacts, yeah, kind of heavy artifacts all over the screen...i wonder why, tried not to overclock - same, different ForceWare driver too, same...bad as others...

firstly.. i cant play at any server.. after joining in.. less than 10 second.. ive been PunkBusted.

b4 this i got the invalid key thingy.

then i re enter the cd key.. its gone..but get punkbust all the time.

then why my EAlink wont show anything.. i really want to download the northern strike.

BF2? or 2142... try update your punkbuster...

1 prob, how come i'll always get punkbusted for average ping latency?

the fast way is you to download xfire.com = www.xfire.com

or manual IP key-in inside the game browser (Multiplayer tab-->Join internet-->connect to IP)


Current Singapore hosted BF2 server. that note the server IP and Port no. I think sniper69 the only M'sian still play BF2 haha j/k the others alll cabut to BF2142 already or semi-retired

anyway, IMO, good gameplay should be around 5 (bot? ) to 250 (250 ping? not good in sniping). GameArena @Australia is the most popular game room, Singapore's should be ok, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Thailand (don't even think bout joining though)...

i got really irritated whenever my YM disconnected during playing the game.

the game will suddenly go to desktop (minimized) and then it take quite a long time to return back to game..

so do i need to turn off my YM first before playing BF2?

absoulutely yes..disconnect all software that connect to the internet eg IRC, YM, MSN, etc..for optimum play disable the AV if u want to do that..
