hai guys,
i wonder is it a good upgrade from rt1900iii to r2600 ? smile.gif
and is r2700 lauched in malaysia already ?
if yesh, whats the pricing ? smile.gif

my usage is more to music instead of movie smile.gif
and my friend plan to get a pc speaker and her budget is about rm400 to rm500 , all the sifus do you mind help her out by giving her suggestion ? she use it to listen to music too though tongue.gif

and i found out that most people recommend c3 for that price range or should i suggest her to get a 2.0 speaker ? smile.gif
*
You can go louder with R2600, and less problem with rear reflection due to front port when compared to R1900TIII smile.gif
R2700 is around RM7xx if not mistaken.

If she likes lots of bass, then get 2.1, if no then 2.0 should be better.

which one better?

r1900tiii , r2500t , r2600?

btw, why r1900tiii so heavy..  and i saw r2500t in official website just below 10kg? .. pls help..
*
Go for R2600 if possible, if not then R1900TIII, if volume control at the back is a problem then go for R2500.

R2500 is about 11kg and the whole box is 12kg.

QUOTE(Langiler @ Jan 12 2013, 11:09 PM)
i wish i could find a cheap powered bookshelf speaker around C3 sat size,
btw, how the r2600 perform?
and are the smaller sibling  R1900TIII produce tight bass like the C3?

i love mid size bookshelf speaker but with bass,
not those boomy bass but tight bass, ground shaking bass hurt my ear..  sweat.gif
*
R1900TIII I think still not enough bass power for you, better you go for R2600 because the midbass size is larger so you'll get a better bass from it. Both bass are great and musical, just the loudness difference.

QUOTE(penmarker @ Jan 13 2013, 12:10 AM)
Hey I'm thinking about getting a pair of bookshelf speakers too. Not interested in bass, more towards a flat response, though I know really hard to get proper flat response for cheap.

What I'm most interested in is the imaging. Any edifier speaker with good soundstage and imaging? One that makes you feel like you're at a live concert or recording.
*
It depends on how great of the sound you're looking for. Edifier speaker it costs about RM300-RM500 for a good and close to flat response speaker, it does sounds very great for the price but don't expect it can perform as great as higher price range speakers such as Audioengine 5 or HiVi M200MKIII.

For Edifier, you can try out R2500 if you're on tight budget or lack of space and R2600 or R2700 if you wish to get good sound and listen in loud volume.

Do remember that position your speaker in equilateral triangle to get the best sound stage and imaging and also remember to use a good sound card to get the most out of it.

Thanks a lot for the recommendation bro. But I'm in a really real tight budget sweat.gif I guess I could settle down with the R1600T Plus. I've just now read some good reviews on them. I'm not really chasing for audio nirvana, just a good 2.0 system.

I've been drooling over the M200MKIII but money is not permitting, also I'm in need for new cartridge and cleaning kit for my analog set up. Bah! So many things to buy, so little money.
*
R1600T Plus do sound good especially the mid and high frequencies, but nowadays really hard to find a new set sad.gif
You can try your luck out to look for a whole new set.

QUOTE(Langiler @ Jan 13 2013, 02:13 PM)
after 1 night of thinking, i guess i will take the r1900t3, r2600 is huge like hell, my desk is small, and the r1900t3 perfect for me.

and one more thing, who know how to make a small 2 channel amplifier for my m1250? i think by putting em in a larger wooden speaker enclosure and combine with a decent amp should give it a new life,
*
You can check out R2500 for alternative solution.

Btw, what happened to your M1250?

There are sellers in garage sales selling it new. I'm really keen to buy it as a 2nd choice from the Swans M200MKII. That thing is RM7++ sweat.gif
*
Good to hear you can find a new one. About the Swans it is really poisoning, and is up to you see whether you can save up for it or not brows.gif

QUOTE(ogony75 @ Jan 14 2013, 01:07 AM)
Thx ur advise!!finally i just bought this speaker at sri com! rm440 good god price.now testing n burning in the speaker sound!
*
Enjoy it~ position it with equilateral triangle to get good sound stage and imaging. nod.gif

QUOTE(Langiler @ Jan 14 2013, 08:06 AM)
but the r2500 still huge, and my m1250 is ok but rarely used, because of it low quality sound, i suspect the amplifier is the culprit, that why i trying to give new life for these cheap speaker, pairing it with a T-Amp that cost 3 time of the speaker,
*
Then R1900TIII should be the one.
Btw, just don't expect too much from M1250, just mod it if you want it to sound better.

Just bought an Edifier H280 IEM to pair with my Nexus 7 so here's a mini review after 12hrs burn in

Really really suprised at the sound quality for such a price (RM39)

Sounds quite close to SoundMagic's PL-21.
- Bass is quite prominent in quantity n quality, just that it does not slam like 21's.
- Low punch bass notes, mid bass notes like those of a bass guitar (120 - 180hz) are not prominent.
- Also slightly smaller sound and crispier higher end, better seperation and sounds clean/smooth.
- PL-21 sounds 'bigger/full' but slightly darker and slightly less seperation, sounds a little harsh to me too.

- Still quite some distance to a Hippo White which sounds quite large and punchier with good seperation, but a White costs RM100+.
- Easily surpass EP-630/660 (Creative >RM80) and most Sonic Gear IEMs. Razer M100 too (>RM100).
- Can bring out some small details and good instrument layering. However still has a slightly 'small' but smooth sound
- Sounds best at low to moderate high volume. Congested at high and very high volume.
- Sounds like a slightly 'cold' Edifier C3 if u ask me.
- Personal opinion, sound signature is better than some Ultimate Ears (UE), they sound really cold, congested and loud. In my opinion sounding big and full is one thing, sounding just loud and forward is another thing which is kinda fatiguing/annoying. But this is my taste and will vary with many.

For RM40, i dont think there is anything better for super-budget IEMs... Maybe they should start taking down those SG iems from the shelves...

Songs tested with, these songs have quite good mastering imo:
ATB ft. Melissa Loretta - If It's Love
Enigma - Principle of Lust (full/reprise/11min version)
Madonna - Die Another Day
Within Temptation - Faster
TJR - Ode To Oi
Norah Jones - Those Sweet Words
Norah Jones - Turn Me On
Olivia Ong - I Believe
S Club 7 - Say Goodbye

Nexus 7, Realtek Chipset.
Asus K40, VIA VT1708 Chipset.
Macbook 07' Sigmatel Chipset.

jus normal stuff notworthy.gif

Finally I saw a H280 user... rclxms.gif

HI^^
and happy new year everyone~
i have few question to ask~
i wan to bought a 2.0 speaker to my room~
i use laptop(which have dolby advanced audio v2)
i budget around RM450~
and i have review about edifier r2600~
i will buy a pair speaker after new year~
i am always listening music~
and i also like to watch movie(like:terminator, the dark night rise, the avanger)~
have everyone using this model?
can anyone give me some advice?
*
R2600 is a good speaker, worth to get one. and loud enough for most usage. But I suggest you can remain your sound card extra features off (dolby, surround effect, etc) to avoid colouring your sources.

OMG juz now did a search of ''edifier h280 review'' ... It wuz u thumbup.gif
Yeaa mann they should have trying stations... for this price nothing comes better. Even some RM80+- iem from Sony, SG, philips imo cant compare...

There is 1 drawback tho, mayb Edifier uses OEM tips. The mid-size tip & large size tip cant lock onto the IEM head properly. If you twist/turn it, it can turn round and round when fitted. Tried with other brand tips (Hippo & Beats), they fit tightly and you not be able to turn them. Sound better too...
*
Wow that was a good, I've not heard so much of earbud before but this one do really impressed me with such a good price to performance ratio.

And yea the tip are much softer compared to other, and it is quite a headache part to find one that matches your ear perfectly but once it fits well, you'll get good sound instantly.

A good thing is it doesn't need super duper long time to run it in. nod.gif
