C3>S330/D>hcs2330>M3300>M3400

OK, is this rating OK?

M3300 better than M3400?

going for the Edifier Speaker  biggrin.gif
*
M3300 sounds brighter while M3400 much warmer.
Do audit before you buy. biggrin.gif

Edifier M1350
After searching around, I found this speaker is rather impressive frequency response!

Have you tried to clean up the connector on the speaker input and your source output? Also try to keep the signal cable away from power plug about 5cm or more.

Hi all.. Im planning to sell my c3 to upgrade/downgrade..

Im thinkin of r2500 or r2600... The diff only that r2500 has a 5inch woofer and 2600 has a 6inch woofer? For the price range. Any other 2.0 should i consider?
*
From outside, yes the driver difference only 5 inch woofer and 6 inch woofer. But inside, R2600 used bi-amping Class D amplifier, a rotary digital volume control and tone control. R2500 still using the previous model amplifier TDA2050 which is still sound great and combine with + and - digital volume control.

R2500 for about RM38x and R2600 for about RM46x if not mistaken, if you need more bass try get R2600. R2500 gives sufficient bass for normal listening but most would said not enough bass.

Well... I hated the bass from c3. I havent have the time to audition r2600. Will be bass be better? For low fq bass that is. Coz on low fq bass, c3 is not a good choice.
*
R2600 bass response is better, not sure about the bass loudness when compared to C3.
If you like loud low frequency bass that fills up the whole room, I don't think R2600 suits you but try audit it before you decide. smile.gif

im more into SQ then bass head.. sometimes i enjoy bass but most of the times i really enjoy 80's, vocal trance, house, and etc.
*
R2500 and R2600 are good for all genres biggrin.gif
The bass I mean is loudness of low frequency bass, like about 80hz or below is not that loud makes you feel like something missing.

Both R2500 and R2600 only the loudness, bass volume and your budget are up to your decision, it won't produce one note bass don't worry.

Remember to have a good speaker position once you have it, I found it very important in Edifier speakers.

Any new upgrades for S2000 owners?

Getting bored and not to mention that turning the volume knob makes the speaker emit lots of crackles.
*
Turn off the amplifier, then keep turn the knob up to max and min for 30 times or more. After that turn it back on and listen to the music again. smile.gif

Believe me, some miracles might happen.

Hi guys I bought my Edifier M3300SF 2.1 almost 6 months ago,and I don't know if this problem existed for quite some time already or not,but I just realized that my left speaker doesn't produce sound  doh.gif My subwoofer produces bass and the right speaker produces sound,I can feel it with my hands, when I put my hands on the subwoofer and speakers, there's the sensation. But the left speaker, there's like nothing. Is this hardware problem or software settings?

I use on-board soundcard,Realtek HD Audio Drivers.Windows 7 32-bit.
*
Plug to other source, either your phone or mp3 player see it is still the same or not.

If not then try move around the volume control to woofer cable see does the left speaker back alive or not, if it back alive and dead again or totally won't help, send to warranty.

Sounds confusing. My subwoofer has 3 output holes from the input, one for line-in that connects to the remote,L(White) and R(Red)...so I realized that when I plug my left and right speakers into the red hole,it works, but when I plug my left or right speakers into the white hole,it doesn't work.
*
I assume some wires in the remote cable has torned out, so suggest you send it to warranty. smile.gif

In case of mute button oxidation, try press the mute button for many times see does it back to normal or not.

By the way, did you tried on other source (mp3 player, phone, etc)?

I tried to twist around, it still produce sound but even the volume at max, it still very soft.
*
The spring clip and wires are oxidized badly, try get something like tissue or cotton buds that can reach inside to clean the contacts with WD-40.

Try cut out the oxidized wire part and strip a new one, lubricate a little with WD-40.

See does it goes alive or not.

I'm afraid this gonna happen on my R2500 too sad.gif

that's weird... I bet my Edifier E3100 is way much older than most units you guys owned and I've never faced any oxidization problem on the spring clips

hmm.gif
*
I'm not sure about that, but my friend S330 does appears to have that problem. He thought the satellite was dead, but then when replacing the cables it goes back alive again.

It is better to compare it with same price range.

got lucky today.

my last computer speaker purchase was aego 2with the ori koi driver back in 2003 if i am not mistaken.
almost 10 years, and i am using it as part of my ht setup.

wonder how aego 2 will stack against this tri-amp, 2.0 from edifier.

i have owned aego 2 for quite a while, but after ive listened to 2.0 stereo in my avr set up,
i have gotten to like 2.0 and prefer it over 2.1 in music listening.

so i might be a bit bias, but hats off to edifier for giving us :

1. Tri-amping Class D
2. 3/4 inch tweeter, 4 inch midrange and 6 inch woofer
3. digital input

one thing for sure, in terms of clarity and separation, its much better than aego2. (this is expected, of course).
as its 2.0 balance is better, how to put it, to me a good speaker is when you hear it, after 5-10 seconds you just want to close your eyes and enjoy the music.

thats how r2700 sounds like to me, its still out of the box so im looking forward after spending some time with it.

below is the link to professional review, russian though . r2700 vs other speakers.

r2700

Nice to hear that, the sound of 3-way speaker is really good. Try make a good position and you'll get the most out from your speaker biggrin.gif

BTW, how much you bought it?

Hi all,
Can anybody here recommend me 2.1 speaker? I want to use it @ my office... I have C3 @ my house. Quite good. That's why i'm looking for another Edifier. Budget around 600... Preferably latest model, don't need extra features/functions... My concern is sound quality...
*
You can try out the 2.0 model R2600 or R2700 if you can go for more budget and you have space in your office. If out of space then I think go for S330, but to me S330 doesn't sound so good as R2600.
