Hey guys, ive been having this problem ever since i got the first ipad...i dnt knw what it is...but somehow you gotta use itunes to do this...and it sux...or maybe i just dnt knw how...so therefore here are my questions...

What or How do i do when i want to ADD more pictures without having to SYNC it..first of all...let me get this straight, syncing means you will have to overwrite everything that you want right? its not really a feature of adding additional selected items that you want without having to remove what you already have on the ipad...correct me if im wrong..coz it would be freaking ridiculous to TRANSFER ALL THE IMAGES AGAIN SO I CAN ADD IN A FEW MORE LIKE ADDING 20 PICS... shakehead.gif

so heres the situation, i have a few photo albums in my IPAD...

now i have new pics and i want to put it in..

so what do i do?? do i sync the selected NEW pictures and sync it??

what will happen to the pics in the ipad? will it be removed and gone? i will only see the new pics that ive snyc??!

i just sync new photos to the ipad..only the selected new pics...and now all the pictures on my ipad are gone and has BEEN REPLACED WITH THE NEW ONES...so how do i ADD ADDITIONAL PICTURES WITHOUT HAVING TO DO ANYTHING WITH THE REMAINING PICTURES IN THE IPAD...hence, this stupid sync system!

Please help as i do not want to sync everything over and over again...that takes a whole lot of time....

i hope u guys understand my situation here..

when u put syn mode, everytime u put in photo to the folder u select for syncing
when u plug in to ur PC, it will auto sync all the photo u put in that folder.

Added on May 2, 2011, 8:52 pmsame goes to songs, movies.

there is cons about it, when u delete songs in that folder the song will be gone too

ur using a pc is it? if ur using a macbook or imac, u can use an app called photosync to wirelessly add photos to your ipad, but u have to have the ipad app installed on ur ipad and the mac version on ur macbook or imac. im not sure if got a version for pc though.

i use this for transfering photos between my iphone and macbook.

It's an App, where you can find it in AppStore and it's free. It works as drag and drop.
iTunes is designed to keep our media such as songs, videos, contacts, photos and apps in order as our media library for our idevices. There's nothing stupid if you know how to do it right, in fact it's actually very easy and simple task so we will practice to keep our stuff in the right order and locations.

If you add a some new photos in the correct folder, iTunes will automatically sync the new photos into your advices instead of all the photos.

the photsync app i told u about is not like itunes, u dun have to ''sync'' ur photo collection, u just select which photos u wanna add, press ''send'' and the app does the rest, no need to worry about the previous photos.

i hope this helps u.

To sync photo to iPad try this:-

1) create a new folder on your HD & name it - example " iPad album "
2) create sub folder on it name it too and put photo you want onto each folder
3) open iTunes ( don't connect iipad yet ) - on top menu click edit-preference-device tab
Check ( prevent iPad from syncing automatically )
4) connect ipad - on iTunes left panel click your iPad - photos tab
5) check - sync photos from ( choose "iPad album" )
Below box check - selected folder. Bottom folders will show all the sub folder you create,
Check the folder that you want to sync to iPad .
6) so each time when sync remember to check the folder you want it to remain on iPad .if uncheck those
Photos will gone.
Hope this help.

Ps: you can add photos onto those subfolders to update it.
if you delete photo on this subfolders , it will gone when next time you
Sync again.

When you connected your iPad to iTunes, you will came across "photo" in the menu on the right side of itunes once you select your iPad. Choose your desire photo location(for example a "my photo" folder in your D drive), then you will have an option to choose "all folder" or "selected folder". Whenever you need to transfer your new photo into your iPad, copy them into a new folder and put it into the"my photo" folder which you choose from your iTunes. The first time will take some time(if you have a lot of photo to sync) but if you adding new photo again with the same process, iTunes will detect your previous photo and only sync your new added photo into your iPad.

I think TS misunderstood what "sync" means.

Sync means it will keep both ipad and your pc/mac the same. So if you delete stuff from the sync folder on your pc, the sync software will think that you want to delete those stuff from your ipad as well. To keep the old photos in your ipad, don't delete them from your sync folder.
