Shit, the thing is i just update my ipad to 4.3.2. Wont work. Only work if 4.3 and below...
It stated that it works for 4.3.1, not sure it works for 4.3.2 since I JB'ed my iPad with preinstalled Multi Gesture features. Are you trying with the 3.0.12 version?
Hows the review on the multi gesture? Fun to have or makes no different?
can exit to the home screen quickly, switch to the next app much faster. now the home button will not be tap as often as before, hopes it will prolong the life of the home button
using xcode will ipad2 via mac will waste 4gb on Ipad2?
Yes i suppose so..because if you enable multi gesture via mac you'll need to install xcode on ur ipad which in hand allows you to have the option of enabling/disabling in ur settings options in ur ipad,on the other hand if ur enabling it via windows you'll just need to type in the codes but you won't have an option of disabling the multi gesture..

Anyone who is interested to use Multi touch gesture on iPad 2 using windows can refer to this link for the complete tutorial. I've tried it and it works
Anyone in subang, I can help to enable it. With my Mac. Can on or even off it. Just buy me a Starbucks

as what i read online, apple only allow those apps developers in the developement team to use this feature.
That's obvious, the thing's that not obvious is why is this feature not exposed by default? Maybe because apple wants ppl to use the home button more, otherwise the home button is almost useless, lol.
Hey guys I have iPad 2 on 4.3 and itune 10.2.1...will it work using ibackupbot? I backupbot keeps saying I need iTunes 8.0 or later installed...that's weird..please someone help

weird, mine just fine, perhaps u may re-instal ibackupbot again or if still fail install back the itunes, should no hassle at all
yes. its also work after u jailbreak your ipad. using an rc16 release also got setting to enable multigesture before you jailbreak. google it and u will find a great answer on this.
Just love using the gestures, with iPad 2's on/off feature the home button is pretty much not needed already . Unless to take a screenshot or hard reset.
The Xcode you guys are talking about is to installed in your Mac, not in your iPad. Just plug your iPad to your Mac thru USB and use Xcode to enable multi gesture base on some instruction where you can simply googled. There's no memory space involve to your iPad from the process at all.
I do, I didn't refer to my iPad, what I meant was, I have very little space left on my MacBook Pro.. so not planning to install Xcode on it to further reduce my already puny space lol.

Once install, just delete it. Don't need to keep it.
Was it a sealed box? Can you check the current iOS version too?
it's sealed and just delivered from DHL. I just activated it thru my mac and sync backup from my previous ipad 1. Then i started to use and there's multigesture.. iOS 4.3.3

My multi-gesture enable through iBackupbot in iOS4.3.3 ipad2, but sometimes it does not work and i need to shut off and on the ipad again it only work. Anyone faces the same problem?
Weird..just now my iPad 2 hang..so I pressed home n lock button to reboot...then after that,my multi gesture is gone..need to redo everything again..aiks

iOS 4.3.3 don't have multi gesture option by default as it is hidden/disabled, you to need to enable it using iBackUpBot or Xcode..

Actually you can stop the wiggling apps by selecting one of your apps in the multitasking panel, so you don't have to touch the button at all.
hi there ... sorry but i didnt really understand what u were explaining .. i press everywhere but it doesnt stop the apps from wiggling ... either i press home button or the power button to stop it wiggling
anyway can i ask if im going to send my ipad2 for warranty purposes .. do i have to delete off the xcode line for the multi gesture b4 sending it?

When your icons are wiggling, use multigesture to show your multitasking apps by 4 finger swipping upwards, choose any of your multitasking app and it will launch the app itself in the same time stopping all the wiggling icons at your background.
If you need to send your iPad2 for warranty I suggest you restore the FW as a new iPad and do not sync or restore any backup settings after the FW restoration complete.

OH........................... thanks for the explanation .. just tried it haha
seems like my batt problem is fine once i did a restore and sync again ...
Read in some forum, sound like there is some typo in a file which caused the multi gesture feature being hidden or not working.
Just use iFile or iFunBox browse to dir /Applications/Preferences.app/ and open the file General.plist for edit. There should have 2 lines with typo ie. "Mutlitasking" , just correct it to "Multitasking" then save the file and reboot ur iPad. The multi gesture on off button should now appear in the general setting. Proved on my iPad with iOS 4.3.3

Good catch ! Works like a charm using iFile Editing ipad2 IOS from the ipad2 itself ! It feels like a patient operating on his own innards ! Or Driving a car and when it's moving , you lean out and fix the engine !

Meaning to say that for iOS 4.3.3, we don't need iBackUpBot or Xcode to enable multi gesture?
just need to use iFile to browse to the dir and edit as what you mentioned to enable multi gesture for iPAD2 with iOS4.3.3?

Precisely, you don't need iBackUpBoot and Xcode to enable MultiGesture but you need to have a JB'ed device in order to download iFile from cydia. Do note that "iFile" from cydia is totally a different app compares to "iFiles" from Appstore.

Thanks for the clarification... BTW, the iFile from cydia is not free right? Have to buy it?
It's just very simple.. Just point to the directory using ifile and look for the term Mutltitasking.. There's another one few lines below.. Correct the typo and you're done !

i think there are more than 2 mutlitasking in my general.plist, i've changed them and the on off still dont show up, but the multi gesture is working since i'm using the ibackupboot method

Nope unless you're using Xcode. You need a JB'ed iPad with iFile installed from Cydia and some modification on certain plist file then you're good to go.

Lol,guys..the multi gestures ,make me hard to play few games ..
Definitely cannot play Infinity Blade if you have Multi-Gestures activated. I was trying to kill the God King and it kicked me out of the game probably because I was using every fingers then ... heh heh heh.

Been playing Infinity Blade with multi gestures enabled, no issue at all o_O... only issue is when playing Fruit Ninja or Veggie Samurai
Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up. For those who are sending their iPad 2 for warranty and who was jailbroken before, be careful NOT to restore your backup because apparently the Multi-Gesture is saved (those plist that you guys edited).
I restored mine to 4.3.5 today (need to send in for warranty) and after restoring my backup, found that I can still do multi-gesture. So for those who want to upgrade, be assured that the multi-gesture will not disappear (which is cool) but for those who needs to send it in for warranty claim, make sure you don't restore your backup. Otherwise the service centre will know that it was jailbroken before.

What should we do if want to claim for warranty? How to remove it
Thosr enabled it using xcode is out of luck but how about those who unlock the feature using ibackupbot? Man this is the most important feature that i cant lose.
