Every want to go back to home screen without pressing the home button? Want to switch app with just 4 fingers and a lot more features.

Multi gesture can help you with that. You can learn to do this by using XCode(4GB of space) OR you can just change the codes.

Pro for XCode - Can off or on it in settings
Con for XCode - Uses 4GB of space.

Pro for Coding - No need to waste 4GB of space
Con for Coding - Dont have an option for off and on in settings, you'll need to undo the steps.

Tutorials:
XCode -

Coding -
Enable Multi Gesture on Windows without wasting 4GB

It stated that it works for 4.3.1, not sure it works for 4.3.2 since I JB'ed my iPad with preinstalled Multi Gesture features. Are you trying with the 3.0.12 version?

Yes i suppose so..because if you enable multi gesture via mac you'll need to install xcode on ur ipad which in hand allows you to have the option of enabling/disabling in ur settings options in ur ipad,on the other hand if ur enabling it via windows you'll just need to type in the codes but you won't have an option of disabling the multi gesture.. smile.gif

Hello, I think you need to edit two more plist files to enable the MT gestures button in settings.
http://itycoon4idevices.blogspot.com/2011/...-on-iphone.html

Success when I used with iDiskAid method; not sure about iBackUpBot though. Hope that helps! smile.gif

Great. Tested on my ipad2 os4.3.2. Nice features to have and no need to jailbreak. nod.gif

Is there any gestures to close the apps.? I mean kill the apps not to run at background.

Just wondering why apple excludes this feature in the first place hmm.gif

I don't think there is any gesture to directly close an app, I also got that question, why Apple hide this feature from public tongue.gif

That's obvious, the thing's that not obvious is why is this feature not exposed by default? Maybe because apple wants ppl to use the home button more, otherwise the home button is almost useless, lol.

it will not void warranty, since we are only enabling the hidden feature, anything goes wrong, just restore the ipad 2 to factory settings

Yes. During ver4.3.1 using Mac. Than upgrade to 4.3.3. Running perfectly.

It doesn't matter using which os. The different is easy way or slightly difficult way. And have/no have ON/OFF. Just use which 1 is comfort to you.

Yes. During ver4.3.1 using Mac. Than upgrade to 4.3.3. Running perfectly.

It doesn't matter using which os. The different is easy way or slightly difficult way. And have/no have ON/OFF. Just use which 1 is comfort to you.

The Xcode you guys are talking about is to installed in your Mac, not in your iPad. Just plug your iPad to your Mac thru USB and use Xcode to enable multi gesture base on some instruction where you can simply googled. There's no memory space involve to your iPad from the process at all.

and there's one thing I'm confuse, most tuturial saying >>>

"Launch Xcode and connect your iPad 2 (or iPad 1) to your computer, then click the “Use for Development” button."

may i know where to click the "use for development" button? In my itunes or xcode?

Actually you can stop the wiggling apps by selecting one of your apps in the multitasking panel, so you don't have to touch the button at all.

When your icons are wiggling, use multigesture to show your multitasking apps by 4 finger swipping upwards, choose any of your multitasking app and it will launch the app itself in the same time stopping all the wiggling icons at your background.

If you need to send your iPad2 for warranty I suggest you restore the FW as a new iPad and do not sync or restore any backup settings after the FW restoration complete.

Read in some forum, sound like there is some typo in a file which caused the multi gesture feature being hidden or not working.

Just use iFile or iFunBox browse to dir /Applications/Preferences.app/ and open the file General.plist for edit. There should have 2 lines with typo ie. "Mutlitasking" , just correct it to "Multitasking" then save the file and reboot ur iPad. The multi gesture on off button should now appear in the general setting. Proved on my iPad with iOS 4.3.3 thumbup.gif

Meaning to say that for iOS 4.3.3, we don't need iBackUpBot or Xcode to enable multi gesture?

just need to use iFile to browse to the dir and edit as what you mentioned to enable multi gesture for iPAD2 with iOS4.3.3?

Precisely, you don't need iBackUpBoot and Xcode to enable MultiGesture but you need to have a JB'ed device in order to download iFile from cydia. Do note that "iFile" from cydia is totally a different app compares to "iFiles" from Appstore.

It's just very simple.. Just point to the directory using ifile and look for the term Mutltitasking.. There's another one few lines below.. Correct the typo and you're done !

Proved on my iPad with iOS 4.3.3 thumbup.gif

i think there are more than 2 mutlitasking in my general.plist, i've changed them and the on off still dont show up, but the multi gesture is working since i'm using the ibackupboot method

ipad2 4.3.3 user here

Nope unless you're using Xcode. You need a JB'ed iPad with iFile installed from Cydia and some modification on certain plist file then you're good to go.

Definitely cannot play Infinity Blade if you have Multi-Gestures activated. I was trying to kill the God King and it kicked me out of the game probably because I was using every fingers then ... heh heh heh.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up. For those who are sending their iPad 2 for warranty and who was jailbroken before, be careful NOT to restore your backup because apparently the Multi-Gesture is saved (those plist that you guys edited).

I restored mine to 4.3.5 today (need to send in for warranty) and after restoring my backup, found that I can still do multi-gesture. So for those who want to upgrade, be assured that the multi-gesture will not disappear (which is cool) but for those who needs to send it in for warranty claim, make sure you don't restore your backup. Otherwise the service centre will know that it was jailbroken before.

Just reset to factory but do not restore back up. That way the settings will be default and multigestures not enabled.

Yes iOS 5 should have Multi-Gestures, so no need to JB if all you need is multi-gestures. Have to wait for the release tomorrow though.

It seems like ipad 1 with its multigesture will lose it once we update it to ios5.

http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/2011/10/12/i...touch-gestures/

Thosr enabled it using xcode is out of luck but how about those who unlock the feature using ibackupbot? Man this is the most important feature that i cant lose.
