 change from gas hob to ceramic hob

old house built in gas hob (about 8 years) is not working anymore
thinking of change it to ceramic hob, but the salesman said cannot because the hole of the kitchen top is too big. shocking.gif cannot fit in

anyone encounter this problem before, how to solve it ????

cannot ..... I've tried to ask a few shops
they said normally gas hob is bigger than electric ceramic hob................... rclxub.gif

but i heard some people can change from gas hob to ceramic hob.....???? how they solve their problem ????

If not mistake, they putting ADD on into it...additional plat.
I remember someone done that before, maybe good to check on this topic and redirect them to your question here.

I got a customer had the same problem, he placed a stainless steel plate for support, here is a photo of it. YOu can PM happyday119 for more info

actually that thing is meant for the gas wok support and not for the induction.

hope that solves your problem but you will need to prepare a minimum 20amp wiring point for ceramic hob.

15amp is for Water heater. Just to share how to calculate.
eg:
Water Heater 3600w / 240v = 15amp
EEG 75201 4500w / 240v = 19amp

Fotile HL7B require 13amp normal socket point only

SOrry, my bad...
Indeed is 20amp, as I was thinking that I asked asked my contractor laying 15amp cables, in fact I asked 20amp for hob and oven..

first, I think I need to find someone to tailor make the stainless steel plate...... sweat.gif

is the fotile hob consume a lot of electric power since it needs 20amp

electric hobs memang nd around 20amp. According to FOTILE's research, this hob is more energy efficient compared to gas hob.
