Hi all fellow LYNers,

Now that many ppl already got their ipad 2, can u guys pls share your hands on experience?

better if can compare with ipad 1.

personally what i would like to knw most is what ipad 2 can do but not ipad 1?

as for me, i may want to use ipad for working purpose more. so what are the promises brings by ipad 2?

but no doubt ipad is also an entertainment device. so what is the extra feature of ipad2 that ipad 1 dun have? ya camera i know. others?

finally, give me a very good reason why i should buy an ipad 2.

this will help very much not just for me but other LYNers.

Faster better graphics lighter thinner white model same price as the previous ipad when launched. Get it if u can. Its like comparing the iphone 3g to the 3gs. The performance gap is enormous.

I have both ipad1 and ipad2. The iPad2 is "better" in terms of lighter weight, thinner n faster CPU. Ipad2 also comes in white, so u have one alternative color other than black (i personally prefer black). The ipad2 camera is crabby but it's kinda kewl when u wanna do FaceTime, I seldom use this function tho.

If u r buying new and have the budget, get the ipad2.

If u r keen on saving, u can grab the ipad1 that may come with a good offer price as there isn't much significant difference in terms of apps performance.

If u r thinking whether it is worthwhile to upgrade if u r oledi using an ipad1, wait for ipad3 lar tongue.gif

i just need a lighter iPad and white is a bonus. anyway my old iPad is 90% 'occupied' by my waifu and kids. also some times i'm lazy to boot up my macbook air just to check email or urgent browsing.

If for working purpose is important, you might be better off using an Android tablet which offers more flexibility, better editing features in keyboard, better file management etc and all aspects related to work
. Face it - it is an accepted fact the ipad is a great consumer consumption gadget not a consumer work creation gadget. The ipad2 being a better faster performer does not improve/change its core working basic structure.

the most important part for me would me synchronization 'over the air'. Using mobileme to sync contacts, email, appointments, files, etc ... with my iP4, macbook pro, macbook air, mac mini and iPad2. Having an Android would cripple that to some extend.

Yes Benny, I love the android os too, it is more flexible (i use an android phone n I really dislike the iTunes transfer thingy). But the newer android tablets take at least another five to six months to reach here at competitive prices (my opinion only). The current patch of android tablets are not competitively priced at all.

For most biz users, I for see, they wud oledi have a note book to handle critical task like long n complex documents, spreadsheets and ppts. The iPad serves as a on the go device, it is ultra portable, instant boot, long battery life, excellent for emails, web surfing n of coz entertaining. The iWork suite for light docs, xls & ppt ain't bad at all. And indeed that steve jobs ui and screen response is pretty sleek n robust.

Of course it would be the better product over the iPad 1 otherwise they wouldn't come out with the 2 right. If u really wanna compare, should compare to some other competitor's offerings.

I bought 2 in Melaka no need to wait, however they bundle with package include screen protector and magnetic casing, needs to add another rm150.
Overall speed is much more faster when browsing. Lighter.

I dont agree with this. What apps for business android can offer? Better editing features? Nope, ipad2 is better. File management ? Dropbox etc is already there. How about presentation apps? what android apps can give? Taking note apps like penultimate, noteshelf etc ? No android apps have for handwriting note (Use google how many android user looking for this app). If u want to do presentation via vga projector just forget it. Ibook where u cant put ur pdf book is better than honeycomb. Easy to seacrh and read.

The fact is honeycomb is not suitable for working purpose right now. Accounting apps for android????? Nope. Project management apps?? Nope. Site Audit Pro apps ?? Nope....How about medical apps? Nope...How about reference apps? Nope.... Photography editing apps?? Nope. So what working purpose are u talking about??

U must face it, Android honeycomb just nothing special right now except FLASH and nice UI.

And yes, i got xoom and ipad 2 right now.

I think it's unethical to bundle the screen protector and magnetic screen cover together with the iPad. most of the items are overprice and of limited model/design.

The current state of honeycomb is incomplete. No doubt I like the phone version but they need to speed up the development and urge developer to write apps for it.

One thing I don't like about Android fans is when they kept thinking it's the best thing out there. Make no mistake. I personally love my Android phone, how it work around the whole Internet experience, but they miss out on one very simple mistake. If you release an incomplete device, people buy and get fed up with it. What's more, given Android phone trait, updates are slow and few in between, giving priority to newer devices. People would rather buy iPad cos refresh once a year and no matter where on earth you are, you get access to the same thing. I have been waiting for more than six months for pay apps and now HTC does not even wanna release new firmware for my HTC Legend.
