TBH I agree the thread should be deleted. Although it started with a well intention but the actual content has actually nothing much to do with console gaming. And that's still not the biggest problem but with post count being enabled in the console couch it may cause a big influx of spamming.

And on a more personal side, I'm a bit sad to see a thread that is exclusive for certain group of people. No, not by race/regional segregation, but through improper language use. I can understand Malay no problem, but still couldn't understand what you guys are discussing most of the time and felt being left out. And as such it's again against LYN's R&R.

The point has never been about content. Those were the provisions of those kopitiam threads. talk whatever you want so long you don't spam anyone outside the threads, and stay within the bounds set by LYN rules. Which you all actually do not. But thats not the topic here.

if post count is not an issue (as so nicely put by snipersnake, on friday, in the PS kopitiam), and you feel so strongly about this, perhaps I should Audit all the Yang Mana Satu, and remove all the spam posts while getting the admin to reduce your post counts accordingly.

mods do not have power to disable the postcounts, but the admins do. that is why i suggested you all to open a thread at helpdesk to request for postcount disabling in cc main forum.

the were no problems with that thread when the postcount was disabled.

and then after the postcount was re-enabled back, the threads were on as normal. and i read it almost every version and knows about its existance. i didnt post heavily in those threads  because i know it was wrong (and i did post in those threads ~around 10 posts). and i did a favour for you all for not reporting it to the higher admins. and i also stated before why it took so long for mods to lock down that thread (only after version 20++).

about the post count, who enabled it? Is it fair to penalize the whole thread just because of somebody else's mistake? That thread was active way before the implementation of the post counts, which nobody gives a hoot in the first place. Just disable it, I dont see the need to close it. True, some of the members' reply were a bit harsh, but you cant blame them as that thread was our socializing place. Not only gamers from all background and races  shared life experience there, but we also had given support to one of our fellow member that was hit by chronic illness that time, and how we given moral support also to one of our regular poster about his house being ransacked by burglars. That thread also welcomed a lot of newbies in the world of console gaming. Sorry, personally the 'post count' reason was totally lame. And if thats the true reason, thats ultra lame.

Do you think, that the way you ended the thread was proper? I went on searching for the thread that you closed, where you posted a picture of a hairy man with some mockery, but I fail to find it. Why is that? Not only it was closed, but it was also made invisible to us now. Why is that? Afraid of own shadow? Even that, it was a flame bait for all of us.

As a senior member here, I have been suspended several times because I was expressing my view. Suspend me I dont care. But for me, closing the thread with that reason was lame. We didnt breach any rule etc. Personally for me, post counts = donkey balls. Its the quality of the post that matters.

I am not going to troll you in other threads but I stand by my view that closing a thread because the post counts were enabled was horse manure. I bet they was a jealous party that squealed   Ture, we do not own this place, neither do you. You can take a pen and paper and see how PS section mods work, they MODERATE not DICTATE. the only power they have are seeing IPs, deleting sig, edit/delete/hide/merge/lock/split threads. they dont even have the power to warn/suspend users

the person who enabled post counts were probably the admins.

post counts may seem nothing to you all, but mods have enforce it due to forum policy. ever wonder where your superior ninja is now?
