Anyway, in order to make a better 'place' for consoles couch section , do you guys mind to give some feedback(s) on what you think that could improve it better ?

anyway i dont see we can improve anythings since we are bound to the console factor and lately the hype is down

the main Console Couch thread seems dead...really few posting if not at all...maybe we should include a segment only for console screenies...ha...my suggestion lah...

Well psp community got split up...some old school forumer are not visiting lowyat anymore, next gen hype killing off current gen...

I say maybe september onwards might have more ppl posting.
Oil rise, indonesia burn forest, more and more ppl just need to work overtime....(to buy ps3 also, haha..quote kutaragi)


Well if u want you can always start the thread in console couch.

not many here knows other other consoles other than PS2, Xbox and Gamecube....

i dont think its really necesseary for a pinned specific FF thread but a overall FF thread would do it

this suggestion not bad
but i believe unlike last time , now days not many type of arcade games avaliable here

most i can see is is racing game (Initial D , Battle Street , Daytona ) , shotting (Time Crisis 1-3,Virtual Cop 1-4 ..etc ) and fighting game (KOF ..etc )

i see the company console specific boards are filled with kopitiam kinda topic; whats the best ff, the best chrono trigger..yucks..but what the hell..

can the mods bring up a special board, strictly for tech talk...so we dont have to dive with a board with topics like ;who is the most handsome ff hero with HELP MY PS2 DEAD KAPOW!!

if have tech talk, simpler to help the fellas with REAL problems..hope all console experts like tot31 and pJohn can also dive in and help the forummers..

even with tech talks. I'm very sure they will just create a thread and ask. then the mods going to move thier thread... more works for mods ?

Create a technical section sound good too
But for Tech talk, we only discuss it only when there is a hype going on , after everything cool down, not much people will talk about it ...

Since when i become techies? I talk alot only...those gosu seldom post here unless necessary.

I think if create a technical section will be over kill...the main thread (ps2,xbox,gamecube) is good enough otherwise specific technical section will be under utilized...unless high traffic.

Not a split-up, PJ, but a difference in principles.

To me, to make things livelier in here, you need a catalyst. This catalyst could be a person, an event, or release of new games , peripherals or new consoles.

New consoles? 2 months to go.

New games? Worth shouting for , but you need a group of people talking excitedly about it to get the crowd interested.

Events? No events here for Malaysians since they embrace piracy as their way of life. Event will only come when the gaming community is recognized by sponsoring bodies, and to get recognized, you need to go legit. Others try to create "events" of their own, but failed miserably. To host or execute an event successfully, you need greater planning, understanding of the crowd you cater for, and the fun factor. You cant simply throw parties and invites "penghuni rumah orang2 tua" for your hip party, or slap a futsal match when the so-called gaming crowd are more of a couch potato type or clogged up with work.You need a plan and an executioner of a plan which is able to rally the folks to such event to get excited and anticipative of that plan.

Person? Well, a happening, life-of-the-crowd person could rejuvenate the atmosphere of the audience here, but that person needs two things:- motivation to do such a thing, and a crowd that would somewhat responds to his efforts.When you do havent either one, most likely they move on to places where their efforts are better appreciated, or move on to other hobbies that he feels more in tune with his personality. That person might revisits his gaming hobby back once in a while, but the crowd that used to be fun and lively last time, no longer gave him or her motivation to psur the growth of the community further.

Kite, there seems to be a doldrum in people interested in gaming at this moment in time. Either that, or people tend to be selective with who they interact with, judging on that person's preferences and likings. Either way, that is what making the forums like melted cheese these days, slow-like-a-sloth and lifeless.

Er...i don't know much about psp, for xblive...4th company (sg) try to spread their 'power' over here but we refuse to merge yet, not because we don't like kiasu but simply the number is not impressive enough, once we have a considerable amount...we might merge with them. Reason are :

1) event...they have damn lots of event, some of their DOA players make in to wcg finals i think.

2) buy games got 10% discount!!

3) who knows, some kind of international LAN party haha...they have their LAN party in xsquare or some sort..very big, even bring their family. I think cerebralrogue know alot more about this 'coz he visit them occasionally.

Slowly..hopefully, the next 4-5 years microsoft portfolio of ignoring malaysia...can make a 360 degree turn.

Anyway...current forum might be lifeless 'coz of the seperation from gamers hideout? Games should be together~~~I don't wana be playing console and call it as special interest!

That is their choice, i dont know if anyone remembered but i already have warned and foresee this happening long before, during the "clash", but my comments were taken as retaliation.Sad though, i built the PSP community and had to watch it dwindle to nothing just because they want to do things their own way...

Yes, ppl have their own way. Who are u to judge ppl with their ways? Who do u think u are? U seem to love taking all the credits to yourself, and that's the reason most ppl have little respect for u, esp when u love to look down on ppl who doesn't agree with u. I dun know bout u, but i'm sure most of us here isn't living in denial. Go on n continue spreading lies in other forums as well....
