First of all, I would like to ask for opinions regarding this matter.
My colleague who is an Indonesian was sent to work on my current project temporarily. He fell sick (mainly fever and sore throat) and went to see Klinik Ng yesterday. He was given 6 types of medicine (fever, antibiotic, tablets for sore throat, cough syrup, tablets for nausea and syrup called Gaviscon). The medicine were given in a small quantity (for tablets - less than 10 pills each type). He was charged RM 150. I thought this was ridiculous and called the hospital on my colleague's behalf to ask how they came up with the figure because he couldn't speak English and Malay fluently. I was very disappointed with the nurse who answered my call as she slammed down the phone after saying "Your friend is not under 12. He got mouth to talk". She was very rude all the while but I managed to ask that the consultation fee they charge is RM35.
So did my colleague get cheated? I feel so bad for him as a doctor in Malaysia would treat foreigners like this. I am utterly disappointed that there are doctors who only care about money.

Malaysia, anything also possible. Don't tell me professional or not, all ppl are the same.
Please "BAND" this clinic...
There are nice people around so don't feels so bad because of some rotten ones. Just treats your friend nicely...I am sure your company will be paying for the bill anyway (claim).

FOREIGNERS are charged higher than citizens. This is their (clinics) rights. I was in THAI n went to clinic for small problem, they charged me rm 200.

Should demand to speak to the doctor. At least go complain about the rude nurse.
Want to take it up a notch? Go relate the case to the Malay Mail Hotline.

what time your colleague went to the clinic? there are clinics that sell medicine more expensive after midnight until early morning.
