Try to change to a spare battery and see how it works out. But regarding ur car's idling, I can say that 90% it's caused by faulty o2sensor. May also be ur ignition coil's problem. Go get it checked.

laugh.gif Ok, there are actually 2 different noises that u may have heard from ur dashboard, near the aircond area.

1. The common design flaw, aircond vent rattling noise. This noise is caused by the loose fins on the aircond vent. When the blower blows air out of the vent, the fins vibrate, thus emitting some rattling noise. Solution? Either u leave the vents closed, or fit the sides of the vents with sponge to prevent it from rattling.

2. This 1 I found out myself when I was DIY-ing my car's HU. The mouse-making-love noise that u hear when going over uneven road. This noise is emitted from the aircond blower behind the car's radio. It's a black plastic scope that channels air to the aircond vent. The fit and finish on this plastic scope is not that good on certain PEs, so when the aircond is switched on and cold air start to rush through this scope, the plastic shrinks. The noise is caused by the 2-pieces of plastic rubbing against each other on the joint. If u heard the sound, u may try to prove this by switching off the aircond when u're travelling under the hot sun (wind down ur windows when u're doing this, I don't wanna get sued for causing u to suffocate & die from heat). After like 15 mins or so, the noise will miraculously disappear. I found out about this while removing the HU in my car when I suddenly remembered about the noise. Started pressing around the plastic parts of the aircond scope and found the culprit.

Solution? Replace the whole 2-piece plastic scope. Might need to remove the whole dashboard to do so.

Hmm I'm not sure mine is no.1 or 2. maybe no.2 cause the sound only came when I switch on the aircond after I left my car under the hot sun. After a while when it's already cold the sound will disappeared. rclxub.gif

Too thin lah. Plus, that size is rare. 205 50 16 is cheaper although bigger bcos it's much more common. Like 205 45 17 and 215 45 17, the latter is much more rare and considerably more expensive.

Means it could be a case of no. 2. No. 1 the noise is intermittent, and when it does happen it usually wont go away until u adjust the aircond vents. Urs the noise disappears after cold, may be caused by ur initial fit is too tight. When u park under the sun the heat causes the plastic to expand. Go get it replaced lah.. Or take the existing scope out and stick a thin layer of sponge on the contact point of the joint. Should be able to mute the noise.
