At least SE provide better hardware for their Symbian devices. Nokia still a kedekut fellow in providing the better RAM and processor until the Symbian^3.

It does not change the fact that Nokia does indeed needs this
Now it's all about brand messaging in our world
Look at the success of Apple, Facebook etc

If you are an 80yr old man still living in the golden era then it's understandable if you think that way
Where you just blindly accept whatever that is being fed to u without going to the finest details
Do you honestly think Nokia can survive any longer ignoring us consumers?
The lunch did not went unnoticed, all of us were grateful nor did we take it for granted

However the attitude they kept giving us is the most infuriating part
In this world now, customer service is the latest "trend"
U snooze u lose, simple as that

Worst off is that they are a "PR" company which stands for PUBLIC RELATIONS
Yet they can't even do a simple thing as maintaining the public image of their client Nokia (wateva little image that Nokia still has left)
If you give your word then you keep it, you don't randomly give us a date and expect us to forget bout it over time

Nvm, I'm not condemning you. I'm just saying that I thought you are driving force behind this event, PR company just a medium between us and Nokia as part of the Ranger programme. Nokia just responsible for the prizes and lunch. Im assuming Nokia is not interested to take active roll in this, only will act as sponsor.

And the medium is not doing its job at all

Erm, since Im not attending, I dont really know. But judging from the previous outing for event for N8 and E7, PR company aint really doing much except to relay information between us and Nokia, preparing venue for the event, and perhaps fighting some freebies for us. They dont really participate much in the actual event itself.

Apple only began to make name for themselves in the last 2-3years, but I dont think most of them who heard of Apple really know what Apple are. All they know is iPhone, due to the marketing hype created by the queueing which make it to the headline. Nokia problem is not related to marketing or communication, its just simply that they stayed stagnant for too long and everyone overtook them.

They din even prepare venue, and all the rest was only done because of aspire n alex fighting for us

That's the thing, every1 used b4 and every1 had high hopes on it. But wateva reputation they built over the years is slowly decaying
They dun move forward, they dun improve, they rush on things (early announcement but late launching with many probs), they aim too high
And most importantly; they have over the years, been blinded on who is the main foundation for its growth: US! the consumers

It's not that I'm underestimating but rather I've overestimated them
Like u said, they gone stagnant and has been apathetic ever since

For ur basic consumers (majority of the consumers), u dun need to do a background check to purchase it
U just need to know/hear bout it
Not everybody is a maniac like us who really see things up to the finest details
Most consumers would just ask their trusted relative/friends and just purchase on recommendation
Who bothers anyway, there is too many model for that 1 brand and each is different from another
As long the world say it's good then it's good
This does not apply just to phones only
