Can 3DS (Japanese set) play Pokemon Black & White 2?

I understand 3DS games are region locked, but how about Pokemon Black & White 2, are they DS games? Does it mean I'm able to play coz DS games are region free?

Wanna buy the game but I'm having a Japanese set 3DS..
Not sure whether should I buy..

Bought Ocarina of Time last month. Still playing.

just grabbed myself a unit of 3DS XL* here at FNAC paris. The standard price is Euro 199, but after detaxe (tax refund 13%) the price is only Euro 173 which is around RM690+ for the console. The power adapter is Euro 9.99 before detaxe and the game is Euro 45 before detaxe, will grabbed more games before heading back to Malaysia tomorrow.

welcome to the club.. grab as much games as you can, it will be difficult for you to get UK region games here...

malaysia/singapore is considered what region ?
