I remember last time i could get a box for RM8, that has a knight, a horse, and a small portion of a castle.

Now... RM8 is not enough for the human figure itself. sweat.gif

Once TLG put 'fleshie' on their minifigs, for me themes that are similar won't be appealing anymore with the standard yellow. i.e Indiana Jones and Prince of Persia made Pharoah's Quest feels weird. Now POTC would make Pirate rather toyish.

Just went thru a fresh box of series 4 minifigs. Looks like the Viking is the rare one, found only 1 in the box. 4x hazard men, 4x gnomes. The hockey player about 3-4. The punk rocker and Frankenstein is like sumo for series 3 - damn a lot haha.

SW minifigures have to buy vehicle set to get those characters you want. NOt within my budget due to Lucasfilm licensing rights.

Series 4 out so fast! Congrats!!

I see TRU KLCC have "replenish" Series 3. smile.gif

BBT on Sun told me this week, never knew was that fast!!!

Just curious, i finally got an Elf from S3 but the bump dots are not the same as the one featured in the cheat sheet. Mine had four dots as compared to the three dots.

BBT guys told me that it may be due to regional dfferences, best way is still to press luck. However BBT also told me not to press press to many or too long cuz it will not look nice in the shop. nod.gif Friendly & understanding advice.

I patron and got info from BBT Tropiciana City but of course better call them up to reconfirm. Lucky to get an elf from there. Code looks different but my tips of fingers decipher otherwise. flex.gif

Cruiseantz, at least you got some elf, not many but got them. LEGO fansite reported 2 - 3 elves per case. cry.gif Not enuff to go round.

Recently there had been frequent missing minifigures from TRU stores so mgt wont take out so many boxes. No wonder the staff would be looking at us if we press press too long. Cant blame them..missing a few already high loss...minifigures, easy to fill in the pockets. rolleyes.gif

I picked up 10 also. I found the other 6 but decided to only take 10, makes the hunt a bit more interesting. No real fun getting all in one go...

The other 6 are more common so dun have to worry too much abt not finding them.

They used to have magnets set for them which you can remove the minifigs. Now not anymore.

I checked some LEGO sites and apparently the only way to get the particular SW character is to buy the set it comes with. They dun offer single minifigure unless there is promotion eg. TRU silver stormtrooper or the magnet/ keychain series.

Unfortunately the SW lego vehicle sets are royalty priced. Once in blue moon when there is clearance like last year TRU Lego clearance, then i can afford to buy them. Too bad the Imperial Landing Craft was not one of the bargain item...i always hope to get my tie-pilot which that pack has.

Lol, once you start, is very hard to turn back, in this 4 years, I've spent 22k+ on LEGO, plus those set I get have a good discount. So imagine, if I pay MSRP, it will be more than 22k.

Yaohan the Mall..yes during its prime days before transforming into Aktif Lifestyle then now Parkson. Some collectors would remove the price tag cuz they consider an alien material to the packaging. However if maintaning the price tag, it surely brings back memories. How inflation has soared and the abundance of toys at the toys dept.

Jusco stores also dun have much LEGO to offer.

Very nice vintage collection there barca. I admire the fact you kept the boxes and all the parts in good condition. In return here are some of my vintage lego sets which I still have the box. Unfortunately it does not come with all the pieces. I am more of the City kid than castle or pirates kid.

Lol, once you start, is very hard to turn back, in this 4 years, I've spent 22k+ on LEGO, plus those set I get have a good discount. So imagine, if I pay MSRP, it will be more than 22k.
*
Wow, 22k? So far I checked I spend about RM 7k to 8k this past few years. If I try to collect EVERYTHING then definitely will burst the budget.

hehehe...so many lego fanatics around.....can't wait for the Lego-land! Definitely will not stop the hobby, but need to have slow down, 'recharge' the moo-lah & start enjoying the toys itself :-p . ..3 months of direct hunting & buying is really thrill!

Current favorite theme always will be Technics....but little 'diversion" on Starwars (some battle packs & unique minifigures only),latest POTC (some sets & minifigures)....& of course, the Collectible Minifigures.

1. Check the seller reputation. If 99% & above positive reputation - save to buy. 97-98% consider okay. Below that, try read all the feedbacks. In my opinion, I'm not recommend if the seller reputation is below 95%

2. Check the shipping cost. Always ask the seller first on the shipping cost & method. If possible, use the tracking shipping method. (bit expensive than standard shipment). If buy cheap things (below RM50), can use standard shipping. Just pray the items arrived la.. whistling.gif

3. Always pay using Paypal. You can get refund if you been conned.

Just take your time pressing for the right figures you want. Maybe the TRU managers wont like it but heck, as long you gonna pay for it, whats stopping you. furthermore LEGO minifigures are made out of hard material.

Series 1 was offered here last year in low quantity. Initially TRU sceptical abt the sales and demand for the minifigures...man, were they so wrong (just like most of the stuff they offer). Back then the only TRU outlets selling series 1 were Subang Empire and One U (which i patroned). Within a week sold out fast.

Now most TRU main outlets easily have min 10 boxes of Series 4.

Hope they reoffer Series 1 to the market..then again i hear LEGO dun reissue the same set.

TRU once said that if they get many response from customers on availability of certain product, then they can reorder. But when it comes to LEGO i am not sure if the stocks are still available. I am also not satisfied that only TRU and some toy shops brought in series 1 but in scarce quantity whereelse series 3 and 4 plentiful.

See if we can find 50 over STAR card members to sign in request.

ANother option is to monitor ebay or online sites for resonable deals on series 1 minifigures.

I regretted not getting one case MISB as advised by BBT then. Lego minifigures are like kubricks, they dun get reissued. I mean some LEGO sets get repeated but maybe with different accessory and figures.

The toy where we can play with our family and not worry abt getting broken or loose. LEGO can build creativity and fun among the children.

Hideo Kojima, creator of Metal Gear Solid also uses LEGO blocks to create the draft environment for his MGS games before going to the drawing boards and ingame design.

my sudden interest back Lego started when my wife & my parents bought some plastic bricks(non lego) for my kid. Used to buy trucks/lorry from Megoblock brand too for my son. When i was a kid myself, Lego toys are really a 'Taboo' for my parents huhuhu...this time around, i buy my own toys!

My Son 'cepat boring' with his toys (likewise his father :-P), that why Lego play a crucial parts, as "nothing is permanent & can be rebuilt to other different things" hehehehe

hehehe...nice 'rare' collection you got there bro Razzy.

Nothing nice to haul at TRU 1Utama (which rather hidup segan mati tak mau condition), but manage to get a good Daiso casing(extra large series) for rm15. Guess that can display all 16 minifigures(to be confirm). Will take photo of it when i return to my secret lair at JB :-)

hehehe...nice 'rare' collection you got there bro Razzy.

That's not entirely true. I ordered some action figures totaling up to about RM 160, but customs "added" RM 384 to the "freight charges", so the total exceeded RM 500. Ended up getting taxed sad.gif

Yup i agree with this too. Just collected some stuff from Kastam LCCT (due to big boxed packaging). Items valued less than RM 400 but Kastam officer also take account of the shipping cost. BLAM!! Kena 10% tax! BUt still ok and i didnt want to argue further with the officers or else they wont release it.

ya, all in plastic to safe-guard the cleaniness(dust & finger-free free hahaha) from the prying hands brows.gif from time to time it 'goes out' to play & dispaly too. Will get a proper Daiso case for them in future, now only need a proper "lego room"...so all bulky stuffs need to go shakehead.gif

i think it was around rm89.90 (after discount) from Bolders. That's the last of it at The Garden. There are still plenty of it at Kinokuniya KLCC, located at the Staff's information counter.

One Toy Amcorp and the toy shop located in Atria Damansara Jaya also have this SW Lego book. Just like cruiseantz, i got mine from Borders Curve two months back. Wasnt to keen on the ceremonial Luke figure but when i asked the staff to let me have a sneak preview of the contents..i was blew away by the Force.

Bro Ilfort, do you have the chrome Darth Vader minifigure?

One Toy Amcorp and the toy shop located in Atria Damansara Jaya also have this SW Lego book. Just like cruiseantz, i got mine from Borders Curve two months back. Wasnt to keen on the ceremonial Luke figure but when i asked the staff to let me have a sneak preview of the contents..i was blew away by the Force.

Bro Ilfort, do you have the chrome Darth Vader minifigure?

I recently read from a SW Lego forum that this chrome vader is randomly inserted in selected 2009 SW battle sets/packs. No wonder some sets i see flew off the shelves so fast. Furthermore at that time im just a regular Hasbro SW collector, not yet poisoned by LEGO minifigs.

Just bought from 4 sellers early this month. All packages received around 10 days after shipping.

step 1) click on BUY, then pick preferred shop. I suggest the one with the highest # in the bracket , if I'm no wrong its the total parts they have.
step 2) go make a coffee and prepare to spent hours picking your preferred parts.
step 3) checkout and wait for your order status
step 4) when order status is "ready", time to pay the seller.
step 5) wait.

Since the US$ is favoring us right now, I recommend choosing bricklink shops from US.

I've made 2 more orders last week hehe... its the parts for my nephew to make an old 1990's set. Will paypal the seller 2nite smile.gif

I would like to take the chance BEWARE of this seller:

http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=joandjon25

I painstakingly choose my parts and checkout (wasted 1hour) , he CANCEL my order and said I didn't read his shop terms & conditions: " HAVE NO MINIMUM OR MAXIMUM LOT LIMITS ETC BUT IF I GET AN ORDER FOR $20 THAT IS 150 LOTS IT WILL BE CANCELLED. "

Damnit .. I didnt bought enough from him to worth his effort selling to me. ( <100 lots for $15).

Star Wars one is good, no problem one, the rest minifigs pack, I mean when they sell you minifigs only, there got problem a bit one. Battle pack one is slightly lower, sometimes they are a bit loose compare to the one from set.

Hello guys. I'm not mainly a Lego collector but I just found the new Hero Factory 2.0 sets quite tempting (due to the added articulation and interchangeable armor piece) so I bought some. Though I'd share some pics here and hope you guys enjoy smile.gif :
