If you have seen the Lego in SG's TRU or any other brick shop in SG. You will feel pityful for yourself. This may not change until we are so-called high-income economy.....

Looks like the part-per-sen ratio are getting less and less favorable to us Malaysians. its more than 40 cent per LEGO part for many recent sets. Some worse, like 5888 - Ocean Interceptor. rm169 for just 222 pieces! tongue.gif  .  Its unjustifiable especially when its NOT LICENSED (like Star Wars) ,even if they through in a one-piece Pteranodon inside.

We Malaysian Lego enthusiast are really and truly DEPRIVED of choices and prices.

How much? where to get?
*
I bought it 3 weeks ago at Kinokuniya , KLCC. It was going at 20% discount (list price about RM83) if you buy another item (buy eraser also can), much cheaper than Borders (list price is more than RM90 and no discount then). Best to call them both first. Borders have the mini version of the books with 2 sticker books bundled, around RM40 discounted. The mini version of the book has no minifigure (Luke)

You are most welcomed. It is my son's 6th birthday present, he already got the Character Encyclopedia. Call them because they seems to have discount for books like this off and on.

1 ) is the lego book still available at kino ? still on sale?

2 ) bringing in big box sets of lego back to the country - will u get tax ? ?
*
Call them, the number is at the bottom of the page
http://www.kinokuniya.com/my/index.php/fbs...ction=keySearch

I brought back 3 small boxes + 1 medium once from SG no problem.
Also once, a big XXL Brick box (as big as the old tower PC size) . No problem.

Just want to share my weekend project of making a DIY Lego Minifig display. Great alternative if you don't want to plonk down too much money on the official display cabinets!

Great work. I have been thinking of this for quite a while. There are quite a few resources on the Internet of using Ribba and and other shadowboxes.

Seriously, late April?!  sweat.gif  Somemore the Friends range of sets still have not arrive yet. Luckily bought the Olivia's house when I was in Korea. Then also the 2012 Technic sets  whistling.gif

If Singapore getting the stuff faster than us then our Legoland stock will forever be outdated lol. Overpriced and outdated.  doh.gif

Had a chat with a TRU staff, he told me that often the Lego sets are test marketed in HK and SG. They will bring in those where the demand is good in these countries. Not sure if that is true. We should all gang up and talk to TLG to take over the distributorship.... brows.gif

Got tikam some of the series 6.... i particularly like the cowboy outlaw... very nice to use as Metal Gear Solid Revolver Ocelot... now he needs a barret hat... or a suitable hair style...

You tikam 5 and got a Roman Soldier, very lucky. There were time when I visit 3 TRUs in a day and get no Roman Soldier and also sometimes get a few in a visit. So far the hit rate is like half a soldier per visit.
