Congrats!! As long as they keep replenishing the stock everyone who needs them will eventually get them! In 4 series (2 of the series I bought the whole set at shops which pre-packed the set of 16) I've only ever missed 2 figures through casual pressing at TRUs, and one I managed to find eventually at scalper price in Amcorp Mall (the Musketeer). As long as you don't give up you should be able to find all you need.

I bought all my complete sets (S1-S5) from eBay or SG, and some loose S3-S5 here and there. S6 is one I have managed to complete, in fact 2 sets solely buying from TRU. I enjoyed the thrill of the hunt though it is more costly. I am just waiting to get a case custom made to display them all.

How much did you pay for the Visual Dictionary ? I was there 3 weeks ago, but it was expensive, almost RM100. I finally bought it at Kinokuniya, at about RM65 after discount, super value.

I got mine from Bricklink. Be costly just to get a cape, unless you plan to buy other things as well.

where can i get this lego bricks without any theme.. i saw mostly are cartoon theme.. i just want some lego bricks for kids to play like building simple tower and objects.

The best value one I can think of is 6166 from TRU, about RM129. There is also another small tub bundled with a 325 piece basic brick set. You won't regret.

hmm, the thrill of hunting already boring for me since S5... i just order a box instead, which guarantee 3 sets. Same goes for S6 too.

Is the distribution of figures consistent from box to box ? Did you get the same like this review ?

BTW, mind pm me where to get those zip-lock bags ?

thanks man but they selling in pcs , have to pick one by one , gonna sit on the computer for sometime looking at it now.

Trust me, go get a 6166 from TRU. You won't regret it. It is one of those best priced item, even lower than SG and many other countries. It has a small 16x16 baseplate too and many ideas in the manual. If you later need more bricks , you can buy those basic brick set.

Best to get the kid started.

thanks kenny, i have bookmarked the page since my kid is still todd. might be dangerous due to choking hazard .

I think they need to be 4+ to play normal Lego set, my son started at 4+. If your kid is still picking things and put them into the mouth, they are not ready.

You guys are veteran, I am still new at the scene. Actually S6 is my first true HUNT. S1-S5 are bought complete, sooner or later the thrill will diminish.

i guess i didnt even bother to go hunting at all...since my 1st s1 set till now, i've been buying completed sets...
the fact that im in penang & penang has not many places to go hunting contributes a lot in this...
& for me to stand at the counter & spend time to squeeze squeeze...hahahaha i have no patience for that  laugh.gif

Penang has most TRU after KL/PJ, I can't imagine for those collector in places like Ipoh and east cost or east Malaysia. Lego is so hard to find in this country and the range is also quite limited, good thing is the collectible minifigs are cheap in Malaysia in comparison to other countries even comparable to USA where I think there are going for USD2.99 and at best USD4 for 2 during sales.

Yup- kenny is right on this one. myself am also hunting like hackwire...i will probably end up importing these...so hard to find these locally
*
Most TRU still have stock of 6166, I saw that a week or 2 ago. Importing is not worth it because of the shipping cost. Lego.com is selling it as USD29.99 in US and AUD49.99 in Aus, so for RM129 it is good value.
For my son, I added a XXL box of bricks (5112, 1600 pcs) , 6117 (Doors and Windows, 100pcs), 6119 (Roof Tiles, 150 pcs), all bought in SG for 105 SGD.

Kenny - can you share where you got those items in spore from ? ?

Toystation or Brickworld. I got some discount, prices has strangely gone up a little. You will have to hand-carry these items back, postage is expensive.

If you prefer to build vehicles, get 6118 for a whole lot of wheels. I think it is about SGD15.90.

Wow, I didn't know it is possible to get that set over in Singapore. I have not seen it here at all. By the way, it is not 5112, it the correct set number is 5512  icon_rolleyes.gif

So cheap!! more than 1600 pieces for less than RM 300  sweat.gif If got sell here I would buy a few to build a modular building.

When you visit Legoland down south, drop by SG, better still time it with Lego Sales. The choices and availability in SG make us look silly.

This link may help on Lego shopping is SG. http://amodularlife.wordpress.com/2010/04/...g-in-singapore/

Actually, I found that ToyStation is the best priced during non-sales period. But they only have a shop near the Botanical Garden (not your typical Orchard type shopping centres). The boss is nice, when I told him that I came all the way from MY to his shop to pick up some sets, he gave me a Star Wars minifig and City posters.

ya i have forseen this issue as well...
hopefully, with the legoland opening, sets will need to sell lower than the average price in SG...since the reason the park's in johor is also to attract SG patrons, they cant be selling sets more expensive than the average price...so hopefully,  hmm.gif  hopefully...merlin can bring a change to lego in msia...

Yeah, bro we have discussed this before when we met the last time.

Well, it's quite easy to search Roman (if scalpers didn't comes first la.. tongue.gif )..just picit2 for the spear.  laugh.gif

In TRU MV, there is many packet already been picit2..I just search on those untouched packets. In my 4th packet, I feel the spear.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Went Ikea yesterday so dropped by TRU at IPC. All the packages were in really bad shape and 2 have torn little holes, knew immediately there is no hope of finding the Roman.

i have a stormtrooper clock  tongue.gif  & our friend kenny pang has a yoda...refer to previous posts, u can see some photos of the yoda clock + the huge darth vader with the light-up saber  biggrin.gif

i have also seen anakin (clone wars) & captain rex clock before  nod.gif

Yeah, Yoda was my last choice (after Stormtrooper, Boba Fett and Darth Vader) but it was the last one on the shelf in a TRU in New York, no choice lo. It was only USD30 inclusive of VAT, can't possibly get it at that price around this region.
