careful to open and check your stuff when you get it back. one of the forumers here got his set purposely damaged by the repair shop (he removed some smd components and trace) just to solder it back without flux flimsy so that it works but will spoil again soon (he also replaced an opamp for 'i replaced something' excuse) when all that was broken on it was dry solder, just needed a re-flow.

i'm not biased, just anal at times =)

open up a c3, check the woofer. according to the datasheet it should be 4ohm instead of 8
thats why it lacks of bass. you must know electronics to be able to tell this....

now, older, wiser, i prefer quality over quantity

SOUNDSTICK! has VERY GOOD finishing (since its see-tru you can see it for yourself)

GOOD SOUND QUALITY compare to the rest. most of you don't agree because your source is not good.

it's all about music, not just sound =)

soundsticks are not made for head bangers.... it will NOT thunderous bass
just SUBTLE BASS to complement the music.

if you want heart attack, this is definitely not your choice

it plays 'live' 'acoustic' and voices far better than most other brands.
at a mere 22w it will definitely lose to all the others in terms of bass/loudness

soundsticks bad reviews? lol bad ears i'd say
its not only a looker, also a performer in sound quality hands down to the others.
the others brands/models surely have more power to harass your neighbours.
but why harass other people to hear your enjoyment?

if you ask me, others cannot tell by voice if its darren hayes voice or micheal jackson voice. can just hear the tune and jack drill bass =(

interms of best value for money long term:

corsair sp2500 should sound clean for gaming and movies.....

but for music i'll definitely soundsticks!

creative sounds very dull, the older you use the more boring it gets
edifir only good if you hate your neighbours
eago m only nice outside, not very nice inside, sounds impressive only initially at the showroom

corsair digital amp.... sounds very much like hom teater sets.... only setback is price
soundsticks can watch movies.... very vivid conversations and soundtrack but not umph when explosion
