Source: Laptop, Realtek on mobo (possible future DAC, Ordnance .25)
Genre: Everything, classical to speedcore.
Preference: Something similar to the sound signatures offered by Grados headphones. Prefer very clear mid-high ranges for piano-centric sounds.
Channels: 2.0 or 2.1
Price range: 100 to 400.
Speaker types: PC speakers with or without controllers is fine, bookshelf, speakers torn from hi-fi systems, anything that can play music well.

Any chance there are choices for a cheapskate like me?

Depending on the dealer I'm seeing the C3 going for way out of my price range and some are still within, will check. Also considering the Altec Lansing VS4621, M3300s (I can't tell from the threads if it's still in the market), and Yamaha NS-B210 (Bookshelves, don't even know if it's available in Malaysia lol). Awaiting candidates from the SonicGear thread.

I do not have any sort of brand loyalty and would go through the trouble into locating rarer brands/models if they fit the bill as well.

Quaz: I also noticed that your ICE was Boston brand? Do you think it's possible to locate Boston bookshelf speakers in Malaysia?

I looked online and they have bookshelf speakers around the 400 to 600 range getting pretty good reviews. That's why I'm wondering if there's anywhere that sells them or lets me audition them a little haha.
