You had to be asked what are your sources, then you replied iPod. Now you and to be asked which iPod model? Type of music? Budget? This post has been edited by E1 - AKG: May 30 2011, 08:06 AM |

I'm currently using Marshall Major. Quite suitable for guitar-heavy tracks.

Would like to seek advice/recommendation from all the bros. Looking for options to upgrade.
- My Rig: IPOD Video + LOD + amp + Eterna v1 + comply TIP - Type of usage: music - File format: 320 kbps mp3 + FLAC - Music genre: Rock (eg Linkin Park, U2), Jazz (eg Paris Match), Soundtrack (eg. Hans Zimmer), Pop (eg Michael Jackson, Pet Shop Boys), Gothic (eg Depeche Mode, the Cure) - Budget: RM500.00 - Headphone/ earphone type: IEM - Other requirements: (1) deeper bass (i'm a basshead and like to listen to fast bass-guitar rift. Metalica and Linkin Park comes into mind ), better clarity/separation/soundstage; (2) noice isolation is a MUST as i travel by public transport. My current Eterna+Comply Tip can isolate about 70% of noice at relatively low volume setting. Looking for better isolation but without the Comply Tip as the Comply Tip itself is already not cheap and need to be replaced frequently. Wanted to audition at Jaben. But pai-seh if ended don't buy anything from them This post has been edited by D_Mode: May 30 2011, 02:04 PM |

QUOTE(D_Mode @ May 30 2011, 01:49 PM) Would like to seek advice/recommendation from all the bros. Looking for options to upgrade. For bass I can't think of anything other than Future Sonics Atrio. Since you're not into trance it is suitable(the fast bass line in trance is the Atrio's weakness)...but RM100 over your budget.- My Rig: IPOD Video + LOD + amp + Eterna v1 + comply TIP - Type of usage: music - File format: 320 kbps mp3 + FLAC - Music genre: Rock (eg Linkin Park, U2), Jazz (eg Paris Match), Soundtrack (eg. But pai-seh if ended don't buy anything from them However, there's also Audio Technica's CKS-70 "Solid Bass" IEM, well under your budget, but you have to be sure you like the bass. Then there's CK7. Also Fischer Audio's Genesis, even lower priced(although where to audition, I have no idea. maybe refer to WS Tradings). I have a few also in mind but I don't know where to get/audition them. Oooh, almost forgot, the JVC "Twin-system" has arrived at Jaben. It won't be long(will it?) until Jaben Malaysia has them as well. Said to be basshead IEMs as well, and dual-drivers somemore, and also quite affordable. Linkin Park songs aren't really that technical in the bass department. They are sometimes a bit bright and a tad bit messy. If you head over to Jaben, ask them for some more examples, I'm sure they're ready to help.
