thx dude ur are awesome... hey u got Fiio E6... how the SQ if Fiio E6+Audio Technica ATH-AD300?
*
honestly, not much improvement gained by amping AD300 (since it doesnt need amping, sounds good already because of its low impedance)
from my opinion, the only things can make it shine more is DAC (if you're using common soundcard for laptop, ect;) IMO hmm.gif

if you would stretch your budget to RM150, get a superlux

QUOTE(Akuma no Hana @ Nov 22 2011, 10:27 PM)
The sound quality is definitely a strong point of superlux. Smoothness or refinement may not there. But compare to other similar price one they are still ahead of them.

You definitely should look at superlux if you want long lasting headphone. It is built like a tank and looks like a tank. They won't give you the sportscar look. The plastic looks cheap but it can withstand torture.

However I suggest you look into hd681 if you want HD668B because the HD668B requires amplification to properly control the speaker and give a better bass punch.

it is a tank, and can withstand a lot torture, my AD300 seems fragile in front of HD660 tongue.gif

QUOTE(Ton-chan @ Nov 25 2011, 09:56 AM)
Wondering whether Hifi-man Re0 is a good choice for a first time IEM experience. *newbie here*

Will be used mostly with iPhone and weak mp3 player, occasionally desktop.
Solely music.
Standard mp3 files.
I listen to almost every genre, so, no specifics.
I am willing to spend around RM500 for a nice pair of IEMs and a headphone amp.
Hopefully the IEM will work well with FiiO E11, because I plan to get that too(any personal reviews/words about the E11?).

Budget Pairing suggestions anyone?

Thanks in advance!
*
tested RE-0 before, its a pair of nice dynamic earphone, and pretty balance sounding
if you pair this with a warm amp, it'll became nice warm sounding wub.gif

IMO, RE0 is among the best balance earphone i've ever tried, it perhaps couldnt amuse you with its vocal and mids compare to its brother, the RE-Zero
its doing pretty good from direct ipod output, but i could say amping would benefits more

now i wish i could spend more time auditioning this baby doh.gif

Oh. Not much improvements bro ? I'm thinking either these 2. Well I'm using itouch to listen and if I walk around of course it'll be in pocket . Also if I'm not mistaken the SJ55 had a L type 3.5 jack whereas ES55 is a straight one . Afraid I strain the wire when it's in my pocket . Im done with IEM because it always end up one side of the earpiece doesn't produce sound anymore
*
cheap iem always end up like that

have you tried it with the itouch yet? if it sounds good already, you wont need LOD/amp for it
amping would bring benefits if only you got a headphone that didnt sounds to its fullest (lets say.. at 80% ~ 100% volume)
