bass boost wont do much the trick, IMO
audio technica M series is more bass friendly, if you know what i meant nod.gif

i'm not a bass lover, so AD series is heaven for me tongue.gif

Thanks to everyone, but I had decided to go with Feels Pro900.Bought it at Jaben SJ yesterday.IEM with BA driver at that price and pretty good at mid and slightly sharp at high.Maybe need a little time to adjust myself to this new IEM as before this my Sennheiser HD201 focus on bass and this IEM focus on mid. smile.gif
*
i'm not sure if HD201 is good on its bass (its more towards trebles), and HD202 more focused on bass
but enjoy your new iem thumbup.gif

Sorry, I wasn't being specific >.< I mean, how much would it cost for me to get a decent dac or amp? And sorry for sounding stupid, but what's a dac lol
*
decent DAC/AMP would cost around RM300 (yeap, as cheap as that)
DAC is digital to analogue converter, something that every soundcard in pc should have

- My Rig: Desktop (stock soundcard) and 5800XM
- Type of usage:
- File format: mp3
- Music genre: Mostly pop, instrumental
- Budget: +/- RM300
- Headphone/ earphone type: Earphone
- Other requirements (if any): Clear vocal/clarity?

My cheap creative ep630 died on 1 side while I was browsing through the music section in garage sales, jinxed  laugh.gif
Anyway, made some quick research since I'm really newbie in this and found some good IEMS within my budget.
Oh and are ear bud sizes standardized for all IEM's ? Btw Jaben is a walking distance from my house.
Thanks

Fischer Audio Eterna V1/V2
Fischer Audio Consonance3

at RM300, i would grab hifiman RE-0 or RE-ZERO, depending on taste laugh.gif

ATH Pro5Mk2 could be good for your budget, but try the ATH A and M series too, such as ATH A300 or ATH M35

I not yet try, but from trusted source, it is not bad and worth for the money.
*
actually, its pretty good for a stock earphone, i would pay around RM70~RM100 if this a standalone product
would've change the tips a bit for better isolation, comply for example

QUOTE(Xabrius @ Nov 17 2011, 04:51 PM)
Hi sifus, i'm back again... After some research I got more questions for you guys smile.gif

- My Rig: iPhone4
- Type of usage: music, purely music
- File format: mp3, flac
- Music genre: 80s, power ballad, chinese pop
- Budget: RM250±
- Headphone/ earphone type: IEMs
- Other requirements: Reasonably wide soundstage, deep but accurate bass as top priority, clarity as priority #2, preferably 16/32 ohms
- IEMs I have in mind: UE400, Etymotic Research MC5, Klipsch S4 (over budget)

A lot of pros here recommends ATH-CKM55 and the UE200. Since they are within my budget, shall I go over budget and get those I had in mind or reconsider?

Thanks smile.gif
*
why does this remind me of Hifiman RE0? just add RM50 more, and you will get a pure awesome baby nod.gif

but again, if we're talking about bass as priority, i'll place bet on ATH-CKM55 based on your budget
