QUOTE(gnx @ May 19 2011, 04:30 PM) Hi there, Would like some recommendations from sifu's here about a decent earphone (best bang for da buck). - My Rig: Iphone4, Ipod Classic - Type of usage: Music, youtube videos, mp4 movies. - File format: .mp3, .mp4. - Music genre: Any, biased towards pop-rock - Budget: ~RM200 - Headphone/ earphone type: Earphone Hopefully, a recommendation and a place to buy it at in the Klang Valley. Thanks If Klang Valley just go to SS15 Jaben and ask Yuheng and Walabies lah. They'll let you try on and stuff so you can decide.

QUOTE(tunertoobe @ May 19 2011, 10:32 PM) Maybe Shure SRH750DJ or Shure SRH440. Up a bit and get an Audio Technica M50. Nah the 440 isn't bassy enough for Electro/House music. Unless you wanna get an amp. I suggest Hippo Box+ or Fiio E11. (both have bass boost) On another note, i don't know where else to ask, anyone know where can i buy a cheap LOD? ahaha This post has been edited by nabzblitz: May 20 2011, 01:52 AM

QUOTE(hotdogking @ May 23 2011, 12:55 AM) Seems like you guys seriously recommend shure srh750dj, have you guys have good experiences with it? Assuming you're listening to a trance song right now, with a thumping base, sweet vocals and an electrifying melody. What would the shure srh750dj do for this song? Added on May 23, 2011, 1:03 amhaha, the best DJs use surprisingly dull models. According to them as long as headphones provide sufficient isolation, bass is sharp, does the melody and vocals justice; its suitable for use. Tell me how that goes! I wanna hear what you have to say for that pair, looks promising! In all honesty you're gonna need to try them yourselves man. If we like it doesn't necessarily mean you will as well haha. If you can go to Jaben and ask them for a try. I don't know of any other store that would let you try on though. (accept for apple stores but their choices are limited)

QUOTE(hikarireika @ May 24 2011, 06:39 PM) wah, those look really nice i likey! approx. how much are these? i'll give these a try definitely! yeah kinda concerned that it's not really full-sized, but if it turns out to be comfy for my weird ears, and i really like it, i'm willing to let it slide thanks a lot! They're about rm 260 at an apple store. I saw them at iStudy Subang Parade/Sunway Pyramid and really tempted to get them myself. Oh when i tried them myself, they are completely over my ears haha. Also, i'm using the Shure SRH440 as well and they're great! Try checking that out. This post has been edited by nabzblitz: May 24 2011, 07:21 PM

QUOTE(tunertoobe @ May 24 2011, 08:24 PM) Oh hey there. Was the 3m cable a bother at all? I passed it up because the Grado because SR60i has a shorter cable and easily modded. I've read somewhere that there is a 1.2-1.3? metre cable for the FA-004 but found no info on FA's website. the cable is 3m?! This post has been edited by nabzblitz: May 24 2011, 08:30 PM

QUOTE(tunertoobe @ May 24 2011, 09:57 PM) I have a Grado SR60i and it has a 2m long cable, and it's longer than I am tall by 25cm. I read a review a while back that it has a 1.25m cable. When I asked it has a 3m cable. Then many says that the FA-004 is a budget portable headphone. I'm rather confused. But mods on almost any headphone is easily done. Maybe change the cable once warranty is out? Do you think Jaben can shorten the cable if it IS 3m? haha damn. Don't wanna risk doing it myself.. QUOTE(tunertoobe @ May 25 2011, 07:08 AM) Someone else can in this forum, who provides re-cabling services. I am thinking of getting my SR60i recabled with silver cables which is 1.3m long. Mind providing a link or something? Will probably come in handy. haha This post has been edited by nabzblitz: May 25 2011, 09:59 PM

hey guys, looking for an affordable dual-driver IEM. suggest me some please! Currently considering Brainwavz B2.
- My Rig: iPod Nano 4th gen+Fiio E11 - Type of usage: Music - File format: FLAC/MP3 - Music genre: Mostly some Rock and Alternative (Radiohead Incubus Foo Fighters), with some Electronica (Steve Aoki, etc). - Budget: Around RM500? - Headphone/ earphone type: IEM - Other requirements: Dual Driver! (Or single works as well, if it's better than cheap duals)

QUOTE(xDarkKnightx @ Aug 7 2011, 06:14 PM) Hmm E1 do you happen to know if the HTC Incredible S could drive the Shure SRH840? shouldn't be a problem, the 840 doesn't have high impedance if i'm not mistaken.
