I have ask the supplier for the CCTV quotation, from the list found that he given the Dome type without IR, hence I asking him why
he reply is It make not different on dark site, as you only able to see whilte shadow and not clear image, and cost much more expensive 100 per unit.

I have checked on my friend house who using IR Camera type, and it was clear.
Now I confused...should I pay to get the IR type for all 4 pc's or selective area?

Of coz, IR mean the camera still able to see view on low light area. Why not you go look for another supplier and give you the quote, see what is the price diff, that is more easy for you in doing decision.

Infrared Camera is most suitable for low light areas or no light at all areas. Infrared LEDs surround the lens and shine infrared light, illuminating the scene. During the day it able to present color images while during the night, images would be black and white.

1. Higher quality compared with "Dome Type" / "Non-IR"
2. Higher TV-Lines
3. Safer lens compared with "Dome Type"
4. Lens Focusing is far better than "Dome Type"

Better safe than sorry, bcos .. nowadays CCTV cameras are cheap smile.gif

Its about realiability of the cameras especially for IR Cameras. For cheap cameras, the LED does not last long. The brightness depend upon sizes and quantity of LEDs in the cameras. IR camera main function is to allow end user to view at no light vision with black/white colour scene.

U can DIY the cable by urself if u want to install. For Contractor they will charge u base on per point for normal house not banglo. The price for you to survey are around RM180 - RM250 per point including power point. If u want to watch activities movement just go for analog camera, dont hope u can watch the face clearly but if u have more budget and looking for good quality u can go for 720p or 1080p camera which is IP Cam technology. Timing CCTV at jalan pasar got selling cheap2 analog camera and they do have their contractors to install. If you are looking for HD CCTV Hi End u can go to Taching Electronics at lowyat plaza 3rd floor and they do selling analog cameras as well.
