bought himedia Q10 after turning on I updated my wifi password,there were request for updates I updated,then the next day when I turned on there is no video on screen,the player updated time and shows time but no bloody video on screen!The seller doesnt show much interest ,any help guys?

If still fails, try booting into the recovery mode.. It should have one, only a question of how to access it.. From within the recover mode, try wiping cache & dalvik to see if that forces it.. As a last resort, factory reset and or flash the firmware via USB method.

q10 pro,plugged in set my wifi ,then the box advised updates,agreed to update thats it,after a while no video on tv except clock updated,changed ports changed tv still no luck,waiting for seller to update on return of goods sad.gif Now ehen i plug in, only clock from 0800 updates to latest time,thats all no other functions

I do not think it is the box firmware as himedia is not known to do that. It is normally done manually via settings, online or via usb.

Still, if it was a firmware update that failed, it will not install, will fall back on last firmware once u power off n on again.

If app update.... i hv seen apps that hijack the launcher upon startup. If this app had an update and failed or upset the box firmware, u will get strange things. Once this app is removed, all will be good.

You definitely need to take the box back to seller to diagnose, fix.

Yes I also think its on the seller side,served me right to take add ons and end up paying so much more but disappointed maximum

P/S: smileguy not purchase from me, but it is interesting to understand. Himedia ready the OTA for Q5 and Q10 Pro recently. I'm checking with Himedia to get more detail.

No pal,I wl send it back to seller today,hopefully he rectifies or replaces the unit
