QUOTE(numbertwo @ Oct 17 2012, 09:13 AM) I have a familiy member using usb3.0 hdd connecting to the usb2.0 port of his media player, it works fine. It has nothing to do with the chipset I think, so long as the external HDD has downwards 2.0 compatibility (most devices usually complies).. i would assume that the usb3.0 hdd is the 2.5" one (without power supply).. if it is, then should be no problem with thumbdrive too.. thx

Been using HD600f for a few days now.. got several points to share: 1. Not all usb 3 thumbdrive supported (my transcend jf700 cannot detect, but my kingston data traveller ultimate no prob) 2. No problem with ext hdd.. but recommend to enable "safe shutdown" to safeguard your hdd. 3. Still figuring out how to use the build in youtube app though.. got copyright error or something when trying to play any video.. 4. Upgraded the firmware from 6.17 to 7.28.. did not notice anything different except extra "favourite" icon..
