The restore button is the tiny hole near the power plug in the back panel.Whilst keeping the restore button pressed down turn player on using power button on front.Keep the restore button pressed down until you see a USB updating message on screen.Release the restore button and the firmware upgrade will proceed. When complete the player will reboot into the new custom firmware..< Download Customfirmware 1.0.3.5 >< MD5 Checksum >And last but not least: If you use this custom firmware, you do so at your own risk!Explanation: i only work on the venus linux and never touch the bootloader or the installation, there is always the original bootloader and installer in my custom firmware. So you can ALWAYS go back to the original firmware.Special thanks to all who support me with ideas, help to translate or have donated !--Best Regards Credit to OllyP Added on February 13, 2012, 2:02 pmProblem still exist....finally i'm fedup with this player....i think hardware problem.. QUOTE(ryder_78 @ Feb 15 2012, 09:07 AM) Price difference is RM50-RM70 between wifi and non-wifi versions. Whether to go for wifi or non-wifi, that depends on your priorities and usage. If you're going to use the online features of the player, you would need internet connection. If you can connect your home internet line directly to the LAN port of the player, then you don't need wifi. Otherwise(your player is in another room and direct connection is not possible), then you would need wifi. If you don't use any online features of the player, then there is no point getting wifi. For at the moment i don't have wifi connection at home maybe at future will be using it. If not mistaken, we can put usb wifi at non wifi player. As for features you should look for when getting a media player, that is subjective. I suppose chipset, features, price and looks are main priorities for most. Frequently update firmware also must take a note... |
