QUOTE(Kent3888 @ May 10 2011, 07:13 PM) Anybody have experience with both Nikkor 70-300 VRII vs Sigma 70-200 HSMII? Which 1 is a better option? In low light, VR vs f/2.8, which 1 take better shots? Wondering.... 70-200 can do good panning shots? SO many questions.... I'd take F2.8 over VR and for panning you need a fast focus lens and both can do the job well i think

Nikon 70200 VR2 is godlike ady, can only compare it with Canon 70200 equivalent only. Non 3rd party lens can fight this two 1st party lens imo but heard the sigma is not bad for its price (now increased already right?) and also heard the HSM can spoilt for no apparent reason

Saw someone selling a rubber hood for 70200 in garage sales and from the looks of it the main advantage would be easy for storage I guess

IMO upgrade body first rather then get 70200. A body with motor gives you alot more option for lens upgrade later on, well thats my 2 cent

IMO get the 55-200mm or if you dont want the hassel to change lens, get 18-200mm
