QUOTE(xbbshampoo @ May 25 2011, 12:24 AM) how do u mean the exact exposure and WB get the correct exposure and white balance haha. sorry la bro. my tfk hand always interrupt me to get a steady image. i need to adjust in LR or in camera setting ah ? underexpose: colour dull overexpose: colour washed out white balance: too warm or too cold, colour not right then no direct jpeg/raw pic straight frm camera can get that vibrant colour, even with vivid |

QUOTE(Agito666 @ May 25 2011, 09:30 AM) lol, is that Soloman Freeman, then is most likely D3s with 70-200QUOTE(Agito666 @ May 25 2011, 09:43 AM) but then cosplay event the WB will run off right? because too colourful already XD... cos flash colour not the same with ambient light, WB cant balance outlast time snap this my friend said the WB take her pink wig as WB ...and make whole picture become pink... now i wonder how the WB judge the "white" that picture PPed one. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « when balance out ambient light, the flash light becomes too cold, when balance out flash light, the ambient light becomes too warm nid use colour gels, when ambient light is warm, use orange gel to get orange flash, then use colder WB |

QUOTE(jchue73 @ May 25 2011, 06:03 PM) Ok, good points. But if one was looking for a kit lens, distortion and MFD are not as important as reach, correct? If MFD and distortion were important, you would choose neither kit lens to begin with. actually MFD is kinda 'important' to most beginnerscos in the beginning they will shoot alot of close up shots or attempt to shoot macro n they will say "y cant focus sharp 1"? n 18-55 MFD is seriously way shorter than most lenses including N lenses very useful if not gonna spend a fortune on macro lens |

QUOTE(jchue73 @ May 25 2011, 06:24 PM) Yes, but depends on OP's budget. thats y i said depends on preference, im not implying he shud get 18-55 not 18-105$$$ That's correct. But if I were a casual shooter wanting to take excellent macro shots but not willing to spend a lot, I would invest in something like the G12 or XZ-1. Anyway, I doubt that the primary reason for the OP to get the D5100 is to shoot macro. I'm guessing he's more into general photography which is quite a norm for a person just starting out with a DSLR. In my opinion, when starting out, reach is more often a wanted feature than getting shorter MFD. If he is a serious macro shooter, just buy the body only and couple it with a 60mm f/2.8, 105mm f/2.8 VR or the 200mm f/4. im jz saying that ppl shud not take for granted that the choice shud always be 18-105 over 18-55 |
