Ok here I go. Last weekend, my laptop can't boot. It says "hard disk not detected" and this is the same problem occur to me last year which I also told in this thread ( don't remember which page. Below page 75 if not mistaken) but the dell technician had already fix it by replacing new hard disk.

But the same problem occur last weekend and also last night. I fix it my self by open the back cover, assemble and re-assemble back the hard disk because I had an instinct that the problem not came from the hard disk but from the port.

Then i can boot my laptop back. I guess the problem happen back last night was due to I didn't screw tight enough ( because I can easily unscrew it this morning ).

So my question is,

1. Did this happen to others owner here in this thread?

2. Why is this happen? Is it just my bad luck or is there an explanation behind this situation?

3. How serious is it?

@Kelvin: Power issue I narrowed down the solution. Change power plan from PERFORMANCE to POWER-SAVING then back again. Relaunch HWInfo and the clocks back to normal. Just put some tape over the fan gap. Trying out ultra settings to see temperatures... smile.gif
