QUOTE(casperito @ Sep 7 2011, 06:10 PM) torture test the proc till go poof then call dell for new proc replacement... hehehehehe.... Try Furmark Burn-in test. set it to use the integrated HD3000 GPU and then see the CPU and GPU temp shot up to over 100 degrees celcius in a matter of minutes. do this long enough and you have burn out processor at hand.ohh and off topic... another mod.. when PC mod stuff meets car.. http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?f...&type=1&theater |

QUOTE(devour @ Sep 8 2011, 10:14 AM) i think u better don said other seller in lowyat that carry dell alienware, are all selling refublish set like u nothing wrong in selling refurbish or second hand laptop, as long as you advertise it as refurbish rather then brand new. It gave another option for the less fortunate gentlements who want top performance laptop but didn't have deep enough pocket.mind u get clear picture and make situation clear before speak out this statement it may misguide ppl as well . thanks |

I'm getting a second laptop soon. Probably Sager brand. planning on pitting it side by side with my M14x. The loser will be donated to my younger sis.

QUOTE(lksing78 @ Sep 22 2011, 03:27 PM) this thread becoming riche and benchest thread de.. Now that you mention it, i rarely see M11x user join this thread. Please share your experience and any tips on the said machine. Don't be shy.my m11x can stay at the far corner liaw .... but, i still like to come in and read them, just to update my brain software with latest info..since i can't afford the hardware... On M14x issue, is there a DIY way to better transfer the heat from the Processor area? maybe a strip of metal directed to the fan. My temp reading reach upper 90 last night. QUOTE(tenwei @ Oct 14 2011, 12:42 PM) If you looking for good gaming performance+portability+price, then this is the laptop. But if you're looking for superb display, then go for XPS. The truth is, M14X display is inaddequate. 45% color gamut compared to 90% XPS. When i gaming at home, i always hook my M14X to my Samsung TV. |

my slot load drive ate my DVD again. It happen too often even after i replace the DVD drive.
Whoever design a the slot loader without manual eject must've been on the weed that day. The complaint goes back for years and yet Dell and several other companies choose to ignore it and retain the defective system. This post has been edited by MrUbikeledek: Nov 3 2011, 11:03 PM |
