QUOTE(kyheng @ Jul 31 2011, 02:08 PM) Well, if already installed, then try to tune it to sound nice.... Twweter placement are something you can adjust.... Facing towards you, facing towards rear view mirror will create different effects on your system.... JVC HUs are quite decent, unless you get those unknown China brands.... Unless your money comes easily, then you can just change whenever those acc shop operators says so.... Money never comes easily. Hmm. For good sound I should face the tweeters towards the driver/passenger seat and the 6.5" bottom of the door panel? Or set up like this vios. Looks unique lol. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1974572/+20This post has been edited by ILikePie: Jul 31 2011, 05:35 PM

QUOTE(kyheng @ Jul 31 2011, 07:19 PM) The midbass you can't do much, only the tweeter can.... You can do like that(fiberglass), but not worth.... The "good" sound is explore by you, not me... But that's the 2 placement you can try along.... Thank you for the advice. I'll try to explore get the best quality of sound in the car.

izso I need your help, if a 4ch amp provides 100W RMS x 4 @ 4ohms, 200W RMS x 4 @ 2ohms. Connection 1 : 2 ch @ 4ohms and 2 ch @ 2ohms Connection 2 : 2 ch @ 4ohms and 2 ch bridged @ 4ohms Connection 3 : 4 ch @ 4ohms
In ascending order, which will heat up fastest? :/

QUOTE(izso @ Aug 5 2011, 09:24 PM) If the amp was designed for that sort of connection, then it'll work fine la. Why you worried about heating up? Be very careful not to bridge or hook up the amp to a unsupported impedance (eg - hooking up a 1ohm sub to a amp that only supports 4ohm bridge). This will heat up the amp super fast and probably cut very often. Eventually too much of cutting and you can say byebye to the amp. Yeah it produces 400W RMS @ 4ohms when bridged. I'm just scared if the amp gets too hot and spoil. This post has been edited by ILikePie: Aug 6 2011, 12:43 PM

QUOTE(izso @ Aug 6 2011, 09:13 PM) If you hook it up 400W @ 4ohm bridged to a sub that's running 4ohm, then you're meeting the amp requirements to run properly. If that amp burns out and spoils easily just because you bridge it and it gets hot, then I suggest you change the amp to something else better. Amps if specified to do something should do exactly that thing without problems. Assuming you bought a reputable brand, it will be fine la Uhhh, it's a Hifonics HFi100.4 amp. Mcm mane? Okay? Or Soundstream TRA680.4 better? This post has been edited by ILikePie: Aug 8 2011, 12:36 AM

QUOTE(izso @ Aug 8 2011, 07:03 AM) Hifonics is a reputable brand la. Soundstream also ok. Between the two I dunno which is better because I never used either one before. Will the amps produce the RMS power stated?

Okok. So for Hifonics, It's input stated 12V. So if I have a constant supply of 12V, it will produce the RMS power as stated?

Sifus, need confirmation Song 1: Akon - Beautiful Song 2: Tatanka - GTP (Technoboy Remix) or Carnifex - Fireflash When I play song 1, the song sounds alright. But when I play song 2, it felt like there's a delay between the kick and the bass. Is it supposed to sound like that? Because the music is produced out in that kind of way? Still a beginner in ICE. I used to listen to these songs using a computer speaker(barely hear any bass). But in the car, its like I'm exposed to more frequencies of sound and bass This post has been edited by ILikePie: Sep 14 2011, 10:38 PM

It doesn't sound distorted or noisy. I did soundproof too. And I don't blass my sound system, I love my ears lol. So does that mean the music is produced in that way? (kick, then bass)

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Sep 14 2011, 11:15 PM) - distortions and noise could mean many things in audio world and the term itself is also very subjective - sound proof doesnt solve sound waves bouncing around your car cabin - dont have to *blast* your sound system to experience distortions or noise. the only difference between blasting and not is the higher your volume goes, the easier and noticeable flaws (distortion/noise and/or more etc etc) on your sound system are sound re-production is not a a then b thing, all the drivers have to work together in harmony to produce accurate (and "insert positive audiophile term here") sounds. if you would like to know more, i would suggest google/wiki on "sound reproduction" or "speakers" with relevant sources/references/links/"see also" from them For my ears, the sound suits me. Whether I'm listening to hardstyle, R&B or rock. Guess I need to learn more on sound production. Thanks Added on September 15, 2011, 1:39 pmTested on some friend's ICE and home audio. Sounds the same. What does that mean? This post has been edited by ILikePie: Sep 15 2011, 01:39 PM

QUOTE(ahming888 @ Sep 20 2011, 06:02 PM) I'm driving 1st gen harrier, recently install with focal access 165a1, focal solid 4 and woofer focal 25a1. My installer just place my tweeter at stock tweeter position, and speaker at front door original position. Just wondering the position is ok? And my power cable to amp is around 8m, rca cable around 5m. Just wonder there is any sound downgrade issue or not. The installer just installed everything then got sound done. No position tweeter location one. Amp gain i set myself. The boss adjust the setting on HU only. And using Pioneer Deh-6350sd HU. Audio quart 5m RM210 each. Duno how good the cable, the best can be found in shop.. other cable cost me around RM520, audio quart brand.. What is the next recommend upgrade? Sound proof the front door? Or buy a monoblock? IMHO, go for soundproof Sifus, how do I remove the sub? Do I disconnect the wires to the sub and move out the sub together with the big piece of fabric sticking to the box? The velcro is sticky lol

Sifus, I noticed my amp's LPF(80 Hz) is on. But I already set the LPF on the HU at 100Hz. Will anything bad happen from this? Or I should just bypass amp's LPF and use the HU's?

Sifus, my right tweet doesn't as loud as the left. When I set the balance at full left and full right, the left tweet sounds way louder than the right. At mid balance also the same. Left tweet louder than right.
