QUOTE(zennn @ Nov 2 2011, 02:03 PM) try taking out the tweeter and change sides, if now right sounds louder then tweeter problem, if still left side louder then maybe passive xover or amp output problem. Before testing I went to check the xovers. I found out the right side xover was out of position (Maybe dropped while driving somewhere). I adjusted it back and then I tested and tweets sounds balanced already. So nothing to worry about right? This post has been edited by ILikePie: Nov 2 2011, 04:35 PM |

Sifus,
Currently using a GM5400-T amp (380W RMS @ 4ohms bridged) paired with a 300W RMS sub. I'm planning to upgrade my sub to a 400W RMS sub. Using vented enclosure. Would the 100W difference be noticeable? Do I need to readjust my amp's gain? Or I can just change the sub with ease? |

QUOTE(izso @ Jan 3 2012, 01:31 PM) Should be a simple plug and play. But try adjusting the gain and see how it affects the sound. Like it then increase it, don't like it put it back to what it was. But generally try not to overdose on the gain. I think the recommendation was no more than 70% maximum gain? I dunno. My gains are usually rarely over 50% I see. Yeah, my gain is about 40%. Thanks mate |
