I plan to improve the sound system in my e39 525.

Any recommendation please? I tried to seach through this forum but no results.

Budget about rm2K to 3K.

1)Plan to replace the speakers and hopefully maintain the stock head unit as it's tied to the tuning and volume dials on the steering wheel

2) if head unit can be matched to the steering wheel controls, wud consider to change.

I just do casual listening to the radio (mostly) or cd while driving.

Hi guys, looking for a decent set of speakers to replace my damaged stock car speakers.

Don't need TOP QUALITY & EXPENSIVE stuffs, don't need amplifier, don't need subwoofer, but a decent good quality set of speakers with good vocals and good base.

Budgest within 500. Please recommend me. Too much to choose from out there...

Do u guys think its enough if i use 4ch amp to power up my component sets at the front and 6x9 speaker at the bax without the sub ?
Im only interest to hear a good sound...

just looking for entry level only...

is it suitable if i already equipped my car with 12 inch sub and a pair of component set but i still want replace the stock speaker with 2 way speaker ?
at the moment im using 4 ch amp with 2 channel to the component set and the other 2 ch to the sub...
do i need to add another 2 ch for the 2 way at the rear speaker ?
the reason why i want to replace it because the sound at the back seat seems to be loud enough compared to the sound at the front of the car...
what do u think ?

if i want to connect it to a sub...
what is the total RMS ?
is it 200 RMS ?

HeadUnit: JVC XR816 (3 RCA - 1 Rear,1 Front , 1 Subwoofer)
1 x 4 channel amp pump rear and front (Kenko 1600w-not true rating i guess)
1 x 2 channel pump the subwoofer (Agako 800w-not true raring I guess)
Subwoofer: 2 x 10" chap Jensen
Midbass on front: 2 x 6"
Tweeter on front
2 rear stock speaker
the problem, I cannot feel the Umpph power from the bass(subwoofer)
no matter how I tweak the balance and set the maximum gain for subwoofer

I don't want SQ or SPL. My ears aren't exactly fussy with this kind of stuffs, but I just want my passenger to be able to listen music clearly. Need a replacement speaker for my old AE92 Corolla which is busted already.

Like I mentioned before, my standard is pretty low... that is something like Proton Persona basic rear 6x9 speakers, which I think sound quite decent compare to most other car's stock speakers. Surprisingly I can feel the music like coming from the front, although it's just rear speakers (Persona basic does not have door speakers). It's bassy enough for some Kpops, and decent midrange for some metal.
