for me formula oversea as below

1) Use BigPay Card (use credit load max 10k inside)
2) Use Amex 2card in weekend enjoy 5% rebate
3) If all above finish then use MasterCard instead Visa because i think better rate

Anyone is using ocbc 365 credit card for the payment of foreign currency? The card has no foreign exchange mark up fee, does it cheaper if used it and same rate as bigpay card?
*
i presume both will be the same rate if the same posting date , there will be different if visa and master, i can see both also MasterCard so i can see that it should be no different d , BigPay i think will face big challenge d because OCBC still offer 0.5% retail rebate

Thanks, then can use ocbc365 cc next time for foreign currency purchase since same rate as bigpay and bigpay credit card top up had been reduced.

you are right, currently as i know
1)OCBC365, offer no mark up as well, so in benefit I think OCBC the best because got 0.5% cash rebate after 1k,
2)Bank Rakyat Platinum Explorer Card will be second but is islamic card so some place might not able use,
3)hong leong I'm Card will last because no additional benefit

so i will keep big pay as secondary card when i travel, not like last time reload 10k as primary card, because last year when u travel to baltic europe county i use almost 90% payment with bigpay, now need say good by to bigpay d

I bought something online with OCBC 365 credit card for 100€ and the final amount was RM490.20 but the rate on the posting date was RM485.35. So there's about 1% of charge.

as far i know all card will have 1% additional which charge by visa / master , then bank will charge another "mark up" fees , so if the rate only 1% additional then i think means no more mark up as i guess

if in this case , which mean bigpay still better?
or since having 1% charge and cash back , both will have the same cost ?
*
the charges from Visa/Master apply to BigPay as well, BigPay only dont charge u "mark up" fees where many bank will charge 1 - 2% which now OCBC bank 365 card offer the same like BigPay that "no mark up" fees

Transactions made in Indonesia on 17 September 2022

MAE Debit Card Visa
IDR: 205,850
MYR: 63.33
Exchange Rate: 3250.43 IDR per MYR

BigPay Debit Card Visa
IDR: 1,000,000
MYR: 305.89
Exchange Rate: 3269.15 IDR per MYR

OCBC 365 Credit Card Mastercard
IDR: 210,430
MYR: 64.62
Exchange Rate: 3256.42 IDR per MYR

Hong Leong I'm Credit Card Mastercard
IDR: 80,475
MYR: 24.71
Exchange Rate: 3256.78 IDR per MYR

Mastercard Exchange Rate: 3288.39 IDR per MYR
Visa Exchange Rate: 3291.39 IDR per MYR

Conclusion: All these cards advertise zero FX markup, but it's clear that AirAsia Bigpay remains the best card for overseas transaction, MAE the worst. However do note that OCBC 365 has 1% cashback for spending until RM1000, and 0.5% unlimited cashback thereafter. Hence after cashback, OCBC 365 rate will be even better than bigpay
