18/6/11- M2 Amex
SGD 17.90 - RM 45.20 --> 2.5251
19/6/11- M2 Amex
SGD 9.36 - RM 23.62 --> 2.5235
20/6/11- OCBC Ti
SGD 22.35 RM 56.39 --> 2.5230
As you can see, the OCBC Ti Master exchange rate is on par with the M2 Amex. Unless the exchange rate fluctuate so much in 1 day which I dont think so, it is not worth using it for overseas transaction.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Sep 16 2011, 07:20 PM) Which one would you recommend me to use for the following scenario? Normal item: Maybank Visa (0.5% bank rate, 1x point) vs SCB Business Visa (1% bank rate, 0.5% cashback, 3x points) Dining: Maybank Visa (0.5% bank rate, 1x point) vs OCBC Ti Mastercard (1% bank rate, 5% cashback) Thanks I would not risk using OCBC Ti anymore as few of the cafe I went in Melb (could happen in other places too) does not reg the 5% rebate MCC. If you are 100% sure that it is in 5% category, then go ahead else I would use the Maybank Visa. But on weekend, using the Amex still gives you more rebate despite the 2.5% charges.

QUOTE(andyfriends @ Nov 22 2011, 09:50 AM) going to overseas tomorrow a very quick question to ask. would you rather use your mbb visa/master or ocbc tit abroad? Use the MBB cause it provides lower service charges unless you are absolute sure of the MCC that you are going to get the 5% discount for the OCBC. There are few cafes I went in Melb did not reg my transaction under the 5% category.

Surprisingly there is no Korean won in Mastercard's Currency Conversion tool website.

Visa has a higher spot rate than Mastercard if you compare them daily at their respective website. But ultimately, it is still up to the banks how much Admin fees they want to charge.
