Quick question anyone here knows the charges of using Maybank Visa CC when overseas?
Is a 5% discount worth it to use it overseas or will the currency conversion and miscellaneous charges will offset and making it more expensive.

Lets say purchase of;

10,000 Yen & 5% Discount (Visa)
=9,500 Yen (RM380, 100 Yen=RM4)

How much will be the exchange rate & extra charges for using a credit card (CIMB VISA) overseas (Japan)?

Lets say 35,000YEN = RM1,400 (Rate; 100YEN=RM4)
Is it according to RM/YEN exchange or is it YEN/USD then RM/USD plus service charge 1%.

Would like to make a purchase and i can get an additional 5% discount using VISA but not sure if its worth using CC or the discount will be negligible by the exchange rate & service charge.
