International Transactions
Transactions incurred will be converted to Ringgit Malaysia using US Dollars as the base currency on the date the item is received and/or processed at such exchange and at such time as may be determined by VISA International/MasterCard Worldwide at its absolute discretion plus administration cost which is to be imposed by the card issuing bank. The exchange may differ from the rate in effect on the date of the transaction due to market fluctuations. Such rate imposed shall be final and conclusive and the Cardmember shall bear all exchange risks, losses, commission and other bank charges which may thereby be incurred.

May I ask 1 question?

Now i already received my maybank 2 cards credit card, Mastercard and AMex.

Assume that i need to spend on my hotel at overseas on weekend, is my Amex still entitle for 5% rebate?

Is mastercard foreign exchange rate and Amex is the same, excluding the 2.5% of Amex additional charge?

It's more or less the same. Just use Maybank credit card when overseas. Problem solved.

I could like to ask, I better use Maybank Cerry Debit Visa or PBB Day 2Day Visa when I go oversea? Maybank no cash rebate but they send email to me stated that no conversion fee been imposed, PBB charged 1.255% with US dollar as base currency but got 0.3% cash back.

Or I just use my HLB Credit card/ Citibank Visa?

hey everyone, just to check with you. I plan to register for CFA examinations and I would like to pay with my Maybank2kad, amex. someone said that it's based on the transaction date and local time. Since US (CFA hq) is 12 hours slower than Malaysia. means if I pay below Malaysia time (Sunday night 12am).I will almost confirm get cash back and it should be a cheaper option than using my VISA card?
