1. i wanna see if this SGS II will be lightning speed and doesnt take the whole day to load when it starts up like my SGS.

2. waiting for review if its actually gonna be lagging and Freezing free after you installed like hundred apps.

3. the pros battery last longer than my current SGS ...which is 2 days with maximum brightness is epic win.
*
1. It is the fastest phone on the market. But SGS isn't slow. I'm using insanity custom rom and it boots very quickly
2. It'll be using ext4. So bye2 RFS
3. Battery lasts 2 days on normal use. Dual core & 1650mAh FTW!

IMO, this phone is the current champ. Only htc sensation (vaporware) might compete against it.

This phone is seriously tempting me! If only that the price was a tad bit cheaper.
*
The price quoted by sg expansys is already alot cheaper than when sgs first came out.

Of course sgs II in india will be cheaper than in singapore biggrin.gif

they say it cant last for long period time... i means may be a few months then need send back factory to claim warranty ...
*
I'm a galaxy s user for 10 months, I've never had this problem.

we always talk bad about iPhone fan boys, and now you gonna be one.. but for android?

iPhone is a big player as well.. how can you deny it?

SGS2 is definitely gonna be awesome..and i cant wait to grab it. but i still appreciate what iPhone is great at.. smooth interface (yeah i know about 3d acceleration, but why cant android has the same?).. the ability to copy and paste almost everything.. smooth web browsing.. accurate keyboard (there's no need to change the keyboard as the default one is good enough)..

my point is.. what we prefer, and what we own.. doesn't make other stuff a crap.

to any potential buyers who not yet decide between iPhone and Android, test both yourself.. and buy the one which suits you better.
*
samsung galaxy s is hardware accelerated. remember that both samsung and apple share the same chip for sgs and iphone4?

although we've seen better support for 2d & 3d acceleration in 2.3.3, the acceleration is still depended on manufacturers to code a good user interface.

but yeah, sgs II is gonna be awesome!

^you got it wrong. The android you see today will not exist without the existence of iOS. I'm as much of an Android fan as everyone in this subforum, but I acknowledge the contributions iOS had on the Android platform.

Nobody can deny iOS popularised multitouch zooming. Beautification of Android also started when people start comparing with iOS.

And it's only fair to consider the first commercially available Android device, which is the G1. Even the G1, dare you say it is comparable to the iPhone 2G at that time?

Me in support of anti-fanboyism.

android in its early form was nothing like iOS. Search for youtube videos on its early prototype. Many of android improvements are due to direct competition against iOS.

Hardware-wise, we see HTC, samsung, motorola keep improving their phone.

At the end of the day, android wins in terms of functionality. Steve Jobs will not add uber-useful widgets on iOS, among many other features.

I may be late but look at these two live wallpapers from sgs II. I tested it on my sgs. They work great! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...693&postcount=1

should have worded it more appropriately, "without the competition from iOS, Android might not be what it is today"

and IMO, vice versa, without Android, iOS wouldn't even have its partial multitasking today,
plus most of the "customization" for iOS after being jailbroken are inspired by Android as well. smile.gif

very well said.

to be fair, iphone4 was available on only one carrier. this sgs II is available on all three carriers.
