My Galaxy Tab can detect my SSID but i can seem to connect to my Galaxy Tab, it keep on prompting "obtaining IP address" or "connecting .. then disconnected. Can someone pls help me out?

Has happened to me too when I just got my Tab. Can always try to hard reset like i did. That should do it but you will loss all data on the phone...

I even sent my unit in to Samsung Service for them to troubleshoot but all was fine. So to avoid this problem being repeated again, I just leave my router on 24/7 and so far my Tab has never fail to connect.

Hope this info helps...

Ah, finally managed to upgrade firmware to Gingerbread!! icon_idea.gif

Took my unit To Samsung Service and reflashed Froyo 2.2... Did not download any application, just left it as it is (standard as when you purchased it) came home and upgraded to Gingerbread using KIES. Now OS is stable and error free so far. Now, I managed to open my calender menu from the Tab without any error message.

Duration of the upgrade took about 15 mins only... Once I determined that all menus can be opened, only then I proceeded to download applications from Market...

Hi kokifung,

Samsung Service Centre is along the Federal Highway just before the slip road turning into Jln 222, PJ. Same row with Hong Leong Bank.

I don't think the have a service centre in Subang Jaya.

Only original sets are free within the warranty period.
