*Edit: nevermind, a simple google lead me to the download link

If you are a fan of miui, remember that is made from cyanogenmod biggrin.gif

Give them some more time to make cm7 compatible with our sgs.

Btw, I am planning on flashing to cm7 this weekend. I just need to find my usb cable
*
im not fan of miui for its apple-alike theme tongue.gif

and last the last time i flashed cm7, i did try miui also.. and still cannot match my taste..

yup..there's still bug (eg, inaccuracy of gps) but not tht obvious and i can bear with it
highly recommended for those who wanna get a new phone (read system) for urself rclxms.gif

With ext4 conversion of the filesystem, for me, JVB GB ROM smokes all other stock Froyo ROMs.. smile.gif So I guess everyone's mileage varies..

Bro, does native MKV/AVI video playback work now on CM7? How about 720p video recording? These 2 things are kinda important to me. Battery life ok and no lags too?
*
- just played chuck (.avi) with subtitle using moboplayer.. everythings great
- dont have mkv files so cant test it for u
- 720p recording.. not sure about the resolution..just got got "high" setting recording in it
- im using it in extensive way today.. but imo the batt isnt drain like crazy (some even reported the batt life is improved greatly in this version)
- lags? not at all! rclxms.gif

MoboPlayer supports software decoding and also hardware decoding (e.g. like stock video player) of certain video format. I think under MoboPlayer's settings you can set the decoding mode for specific video formats. Hmm, maybe I should try the new 01/May release of CM7 smile.gif

After you record the 'high' video, can you try to find it in MoboPlayer? If 720p, the video thumbnail will have a HD label on it.

Thanks for the feedback.
*
just tried.. no HD label can be seen.. mby not as u hope smile.gif

Sorry i just woke up from sleep tongue.gif yea, latest bilboa kernel works with cm7 which supports gingerbread 2.3.4

Actually i'm on MIUI v7c.. juat flashed last night.. i just wanna see how much the latest version overcomes with batt drain. And i found its pretty good! But my feeling says cm7 is much better, less batt drain. And using MIUI gets very hot very quick. Lucky i use setCPU to control frequency on certain temperature.

I will revert back to cm7 soon
*
saw ur sig.. u bought pimp my cpu? im using voltage control by xan for now.. cant afford to buy yet tongue.gif
come come lets jump into cm7! rclxms.gif

I can see quite a numbers of forummers are running on latest CM7... is it good enough for daily use?

Must use 2.2.1 bootloader instead of 2.3.3 bootloader right?
*
it is safe to start using EZbase v2.0, then follow instruction from cm7 forum smile.gif
at least thats how i do n it works ^^

IIRC,
Ezbase 2.0 is froyo
Ezbase 3.0 is gingerbread.

Not sure if froyo bootloader is ccompulsory for cm7
*
not that compulsory but expect to have a weird image at start screen if im not mistaken (experiencing this during last time flashed)

only happen for those who has been accidently updated leak GB rom with BL.

weird.. i was on deodexed jvb with jvk modem but can last for at least 1 day.

try this :

using root explorer, mount r/w, browse into system/app and rename these 3 files like this :
- syncmldm.apk --> syncmldm.apk.bak
- syncmlds.apk --> syncmlds.apk.bak
- wssyncmlnps.apk --> wssyncmlnps.apk.bak

and try this too :

Settings->Applications->Manage Application->All->Software Update->Clear Data
