One thing I like about the ipad screen is the 4:3 ratio vs most android tablet which is 16:9.

I think 16:9 is great for movies but not really that great for ebook and webpage. In landscape mode, 16:9 end up too wide but too short that requires a lot of scrolling down to access the real contents where ads make up most of the top of most webpage.
At portrait mode, 16:9 makes text too small for reading.

iPad 4:3 screen is just about perfect in both landscape and portrait mode for viewing online contents.

Just my preference.
