Hi,
For those declaring rental as income, do/can we include the monthly maintenance fee & sinking fund as expenses (For strata property)?
How about the fees for security services for landed property assuming there are receipts issued?

Hi, some questions.. 1. Can home loan maintenance charge and IWK fees be considered expense set off against rental income? I understand quit rent, fire insurance etc can be expensed off. A home loan maintenance charge is applied to certain types of home loans eg. those flexi home loan accts. 2. Can we claim for broadband and medical checkup fees if this is already been paid by employer? Of course, I still do have the original receipts. 3. Say, we use voucher (value=RM50) to buys books with value=100. Can we claim this RM50 as book purchase deductions? We can either buy this voucher or we can get it free from credit card redemption or via lucky draw etc.. Many thanks!
