Note: If your tax rate reach to HIGH LEVEL, you can consider following expense to earn % you pay,
1. Parent medical exp, medical check up, EPF, life insurance, medical insurance, sport equipment.
2. PTPTN - Max RM3000 (i.e. RM250/mth). You can earn % on tax + PTPTN interest % = total %.
3. Computer - claim one time every 3 years.
Note: If your tax rate at LOW LEVEL, you shd declare dividend income, because tax on the dividend can get back by declare it.
*
So, the PTPTN is the same as other study fees?

what do i need to do if my income under 25k?
which form i have to fill?

wish there a newbie friendly guide on tax. sad.gif
*
You can fill the normal BE form for individual. Since you are tax exempted for now, I presumed that your registration is to register tax account for future. Is it correct?

My fren wife who works in LHDn said that no need to register if you are fall in tax exempted category based on your income. This is of cos they dont want extra work actually:). I declared my earnings last 2 years even though none of it can be taxed but 2010 I already kena. Just prepare for the future cool2.gif

Anybody can clarify this...

What about the computer accessories that we bought after the purchase of the laptop for example battery charger (in case of not cover by guarantee)? Can it be exempted?

Hi Guys,

I maybe asking a stupid question, do anyone know how to file the income tax if I have two EA forms from different company within the year 2010.

Can anyone advise?

Thank you notworthy.gif

You just add up both to determine the total based on categories mentioned like KWSP, amount of taxable salary and PCBs if any. That will do

QUOTE(deodorant @ Apr 28 2011, 05:47 PM)
let's say you earned 100k in 2010, and you paid 10k for your professional certification, you'd put 90k as your income in your declaration.
*
Thanks man, that's help a lot. So that means we can get exemption for applying professional cert for example all the fees paid in getting into ACCA or other professional like applying for professional engineer application? all the necessary fees can be exempted, rite? hmm.gif

QUOTE(liquidoice @ Apr 29 2011, 12:38 AM)
what is PCB ??
i read the info i still dont get it

[quote=500Kmission,Apr 29 2011, 01:02 AM]
In english word, it will be "Scheduler Tax Deduction". This deduction is based on PCB table (you can go to this link http://www.hasil.gov.my/pdf/pdfam/SCHEDULESTD2010.pdf). With your income (e.g. salary & director fees), marriage status and how many child, you will able to see how much deduction that you need to pay in every month.

PCB is short for Potongan Cukai Berjadual in BM.Normally, PCB is being paid by company with a direct deduction from salary. We can request the company to do so if they dont have the scheduled monthly deduction. Or else wait for April lor nod.gif

Yes, some of my friends and wife friends has already received their refund. But most are bank in though bcoz LHDN is using CIMB. For Maybank they use cheques if I'm not mistaken

My friend wife is from LHDN advised that if your income is not taxable better not to declare. The reason is that will contribute to more forms to check. They usually chase the big fish who are avoiding tax, if you can declare the 2010, they should be no problem for the past one, just let it go and concentrate on the future heh

Anybody knows what is the percentage on the amount of overall tax deduction regarding charity? Lets say per RM100

But I agree "Donations is from the heart.... tax relief is secondary". But if your heart said to give and they provide receipt, just take lor smile.gif. Other than that segan already to ask

After the dateline, my wife finally got the refund via bank transfer from LHDN, feel such a long wait. With the current posts are going on, I detect a trend that LHDN is most likely to audit if you claim the housing loan. Maybe for such a sum they need all the proofs etc, the best way is indeed to be honest, cheers:)
