It is a system error. I can tell you it's gonna be a pain in the ass. I have been dealing with this for almost a year now. Just managed to get it removed but have to wait for refund in 3 months.

You need to lodge a report through the hotline or go to the nearest TMPOINT.

hi guys,

I'm currently on 1mbps.
here's my modem status

there's a friend of mine live really close (less than 2km sight distance)to my house, he has 2048 rate line, but on 512kbps package,
so is that line possible for 2mbps? (expected the speed would be 1.5-1.8mbps)
If you are telling me the best way is to go nearest TM branch to ask, forget it, there's a staff who only in charge for streamyx applications, he will give me the answer "only 512k" -.- (already 2nd time I asked after few years since I use my 1mbps), he lied to customer fastest only 512k available but 1mbps user everywhere, dam guy

Currently emailed TM support, they asked for my area and phone number to check, I don't expect much, also dont expect if it's available, just want try to do something to know the right answer from them if  I can upgrade to higher speed.

my office also has 2048 rated line, but on 1mbps package, I can't really find a fren who has 2mbps or 4mbps , lend the account to test if it can achieve at least 70-80% of 2mbps speed.

You line is already sitting on a 1.5mb port. That means you can apply for 1mb anytime you want. As about 2mb, i can see your line has no problem getting to that but it is very likely your surrounding area has no facility to go for 2mb and above probably because of no demand. In simple, your area does not have 2mb and 4mb port.

hi... currently im using 2mbps line, but how come tm ppl told me my building cant support to 4mbps line, is tat true?

1) Below is my current 2mbps line :

                  Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin                20.0          16.0 db
Line Attenuation          47.0          22.0 db
Data Rate                  2048  512 kbps

2) my office no more extra telephone point, tat mean i nid to find the contractor help me tarik phone line or when tm installer come install my line + internet will do tat for me?
*
1)Your SNR too low to go any further already. Cannot get 4mb.
2)Either also can. You have to pay for the new cabling whichever you choose.

i thought the higher SNR Margin is better while its the other way around for Attn...i think ur line is good enough fro 4mb hmm.gif..am i wrong?? rclxub.gif

SNR = Higher is better, 20 above is good
Attn = Lower is better, 30 below is good

am i wrong? rolleyes.gif

Your interpretation is indeed correct. Look again at his SNR and Attenuation margin.

Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin 20.0 16.0 db <---- You said higher is better. 20 above is good. This is good?
Line Attenuation 47.0 22.0 db <---- You said lower is better. 30 below is good. This is good?
Data Rate 2048 512 kbps

thx for reply.. can i knoe wat is the SNR minimum requirement for 4mbps is?
*
If your current SNR margin is around 40 then it should be good to go. You get low margin probably because of the nearest port located too far away. Poor telephone line is another factor.

Maybe you should try Unifi?
