Hi, I just wonder if my line can support 4mb. I tried to apply for it last year, and the techician told me the line is unstable. A few months back, telekom installed a new structure across the road, and here's the info. Appreciate it if someone can give some comment. I also play a lot of PS3 games, what can be done to reduce the latency?

Got some simple questions as I am going to upgrade to 4Mbps...

1. Right now I am using 1Mbps (RM88), I don't see this package anymore, if I upgrade to 4Mbps (RM140), that means goodbye RM88 package, can't revert back to this anymore?

2. Is upgrading to 4Mbps just a simple procedure of TM "activating" the speed / simple phone call away? I don't want to fiddle around or change modems.

3. How is it that some get 5Mbps? What do I do to ge this.

4. BB for 4Mbps does it have contract (I doubt so) or minimum subscription period?

*I may not upgrade to 4Mbps if it is going to be a hassle. I just want the speed.

1. I also tried to upgrade to 4mb last year, but due the old copper line, it was not upgraded at that time, so to answer your question, yes, it can be reverted back.

2. It's very simple! I went to TMpoint yesterday morning to ask for upgrade and they said they would send a technician within a week to check my line, later if the the afternoon, on the same day, the technician called to make appointment for this morning. At 830am, he was at my gate, and guess what I am using 4MB speed at the moment! Very efficient service I would say, upgrade to 4mb the day after I applied!

3. They would cap at 5Mbps usually.

4. For me, i dont know, and I am happy to get a 4Mb line after waiting for many years.
