Last time my friend bought a used iPhone with "LL" model and we both couldn't figure which country is it from! But now I know from the hard way!
Replacement set = NEW set? How to justify?

I just got my replacement unit this week also after waiting 2 weeks. The replacement unit is also a "LL" model. My problem iPhone was only used it for less than 2 months. Warranty claims because of ear speaker no sound!

QUOTE(cloudeen @ May 22 2011, 07:14 PM) actually US iphone also have 'LL' model number My "new" iPhone serial no starts with 5K and model numbers got LL ending! So I guess I got a genuine refurbished iPhone already!!! and real refurb phone have '5k' as two starting letter for serial (note:serial not model number) so my take is 'LL' are same as those iphone in black box which apple store in US used to swap out defective phone. Genius in apple store US claims those phone in black box are new. My theory is apple made those new iphone in black box to quickly replace defective phone without needing to replace cable/earphone/printed thingy to save cost. |
