QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Apr 16 2011, 09:53 PM) LOL, you're just being humble Still aiming for the 1215B. The U41SV is a last resort. I personally don't trust HP that much. I remember going to my ex's place every other week to fix her HP notebook. I don't mind settling for a slightly lower performing model because mainly:So, you're going for the 1215B? How about the U41Sv? You can get a Dv4 with that budget 1. I can prolly OC the GT540M to GT550M levels. 2. I want a longer battery life. 3. Super Hybrid Engine's OC is amazingly powerful! |

Well I'm not sure for SB but the old Arrandale i7 idle temps were quite high. Ranging from 45-60C.

If 1215B then I just leave it lo. SHE will OC a bit gua.
SHE also has a high performance mode. On it, depending on the model, you can get up to a 15% increase in bus speed. This post has been edited by AlexLai: Apr 16 2011, 10:22 PM |

Low 40s, possible with the i5 SB. But since the i7 has 4 physical cores, more heat is produced.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Apr 16 2011, 10:20 PM) But the 1215B and Asus U41Sv seemed rather different? How to OC if you choose the 1215B? And my reasoning is like this: I have a noob question, Super Hybrid Engine is sort of like Toshiba's Eco Utility for saving battery right? How do you guys OC? OC what? If I get 1215B, then I keep the A42JV. Else, get rid of A42JV and get U41SV only. |
