I charge it err...whenever I get the chance to charge it as I have my car charger, usb cable for charging when at the office and I also have 2 spare batteries that are always charged at any given time if I need a quick one. I use SE's EP900 charger to charge those so technically no, I don't have issue with battery drain

I use data & camera a lot which hogs up battery and I charge anytime I can for good measure so I don't run into battery problem. I just need one battery a day and rarely have to switch though

You can debrand quite easily, not sure if you can unlock for free though but worse comes to worse you can use online services like Omnius to unlock for less than RM20~

AFAIK gprs/edge is only power conserving on standby, but if u use them for data, 3g is less power consuming as it takes less time to transfer the same data as compared to edge meaning less load on the modem as well. Wifi would definitely be the least power-consuming.

And talking about battery life, android has a different way of handling background data so the best bet is turning it off when not in use which can be easily toggled with power control widgets. With background data disabled battery life would definitely last longer. Of course gingerbread would further improve power consumption. Also bear in mind that our battery percentage is just an approximate which may or may not be the actual level displayed, for instance after 3 hours the battery suddenly drops 9% is the same as the battery percentage dropping 3% every hour for 3 hours, it does happen sometimes but doesn't necessarily mean it would drain up in 10th hours as it purely depends on what you use your phone for

A few sources are claiming gb is coming this weekend. Let's pray for the best because my stock 2.1 is a pain in the @$$. Keeps restarting on me randomly now. The only reason I'm sticking to stock now is because of the camera

Weird thing is, I never got ANY random reboot before I updated to Eclair. And after updating it was still stable until a few months ago. So if it has been stable for almost a year, not likely it's the mobo I guess. Or are there any other cases like mine that turned out to be mobo issue?

Not paling lambat, but paling banyak update. Galaxy S, Captivate, etc from Eclair 2.1---->Gingerbread 2.3
X10 Donut 1.6---->Gingerbread 2.3. I don't think any other Donut 1.6 model have been updated till GB 2.3

My X10 kit is Generic World, and that's quite rare indeed. Many have Generic Global. Does anybody know what the difference is?

It's probably the OEMs that has asked Google to issue the statement as some customers are so ungrateful and relentless in demanding for updates. Having this ground rule should shut them up

Oooooh yeah! I'm finally leaving the dreadful stock 2.1. GB is sweeeet!! No lag (relatively la since I never opted for anything other than stock, lol) Flashed to German Generic and the updated via SEUS, took me all night but now I'm a happy camper

With GB in my hand it feels like I'm dreaming, actually mainly because I haven't slept and took the whole night to backup with MPE, download German Generic kit and update
