it decided by SGA itself and never question where to install...
as sense, those service/widget/background apps will install at internal memory; other apps such as games will install at sd card... the reasons is bcos to prevent hot swap the sd card and SGA forced to shut down the service/widget/background apps....

as believe will take some times as customized version on GB for SGA required due to different hardware for different hp... just like customize Microsoft OS in the Recovery CD to suit with Dell or HP computers for 100% compatibility...

just my 2 cents and used PC as example... maybe i wrong...

as info, froyo on SGA only can support 15fps for video recording, but GB on SGA can support 30fps... so wondering will GB stressing the hardware as OS double up the result... or some of the feature of GB no usable on SGA such as no front camera, etc... so the official GB for SGA may tuned and amended according to SGA's requirements... as believe the OS in our SGA is customized by Samsung, otherwise dont have the "samsung apps" inside there... dont flame me if wrong...

perhaps ur hp cant detect the SD card or unmounted accidentally?

disable the wifi when no in use...
so far the i used 2-3 hours for wifi, no encounter hang issue yet...

use SD card reader and Micro SD adapter to check whether the files still stored in SD or not...
perhaps can try ur luck as well by using file recovery software...

try "active partition recovery" or "active file recovery"
this is software no free 1, so u pandai2 to get *ahem* 1...

around Rm100... i think someone selling it at garage sales and the shop located in sunway pyramid

u can clean the cover by flushing with water, but make sure dry it before install back to your SGA...

actually as u realized the android will unpack files while u reset and restart handphone...

as my sense, SGA have 2 portion of memory space...
1 memory space for packed or compressed OS (for static data);
another memory space for unpacked or installed OS and other apps (for flexi data)...

what we need to do is replace the packed or compressed OS completely with another packed or compressed OS so your handphone will able to install the new OS into another memory space...

means by reseting your handphone, you will loss ALL your stored data in your handphone memory...
unlike other older handphone, some of data (such as phone book, SMS, etc) wont loss after reset...

just like u placing WinXP or Win7 optical disc for full installation and format in computer...
you wasn't doing upgrade from WinXP to Win7 by using the optical disc...

i think go for samsung SC instead since ur hp still new enough to cover under warranty...

hence, i think is time for u to get a casing or bumper to protect ur SGA...

i think should replace along with the chrome body as well right?
if included chrome body + front glass, RM250 should quite ok...

bcos i dont think the glass able to separate with the chrome body...

are u running with wifi all the time?

as the common issues of SGA, switch on WIFI for long will cause the hang/SOD (screen of death)
as my understand from SGA users here is due to SGA switch to other location while u switched on wifi...

so far i dont have hang issues as i wont switch SGA for long and i stationary at the same location when switch on wifi...

perhaps try to switch off wifi tonight see have any any differences or not...

perhaps get a epikcase casing instead, no worry about dust...

some of opened wifi no guarantee able to connect internet due to the reason as below...
1. congestion of traffic
2. static IP may required

maybe u should try the opened wifi at Mcd or starbuck instead

i think the aftermarket back cover should available in malaysia...
hence SGA quite common everywhere, i think wont difficult for u to get the spare part for SGA...

the aftermarket spare part manufacturer just looking on the number of hp users only lo... example iphone 4, everyone owned it and spare part are everywhere even though no able to root or without custom rom... haha...

but custom rom issues is different lo, i think only around 20% of total number of user will do it only...
